Episode 4: Your Highness

Chapter 4:

Lucas went out the ballroom after they got introduce, he then change his clothes to avoid being known and also took off his mask. He doesn’t care about the people anymore he just need to breath.

He hates socializing, unlike his twin elder brother Lucius who loves to be in crowd.

Lucas went to the garden where he usually went when there is a party. He was about to enter the main pavilion of the garden when he heard some women voices arguing.

“just how long should i be here?” he heard a voice of a woman .

“Diana you have to endure it.” Another voice spoke.

“after we got what we want it will be worth it, trust us.” Lucas cannot distinguish the voices at all, it seems so similar.

“why am i the only one who suffer?”

“because it is you! You are a perfect noble girl.”

“ugh!! Do you know how much grudge i have now just breathing with the same air as this shitty people? I want to kill them all.” Lucas can fill the lividness on the woman’s voice, just who are they.

He walk towards the direction of the voices but then he saw no one.

“i’m sure i heard voices” he said.

“Oh! I’m sorry i thought no one is here, excuse me!” the lady said in a sweet voice.

“no, it’s okay” he said he look at the lady carefully, she has this long straight brown hair and green eyes. She is pretty.

“may i know your name milady?” Lucas ask her. The lady seems harmless and he doubt she knew he is the second prince.

“umm” but she just look down and feel so shy. Why is she so shy?

“it’s okay”

“i-i’m Cecelia Handell “ she then bow like her name was a disgrace. Come to think of it, Lucas just remember the sole survivor of Slavatore is also known as Cecelia who just recently got adopted in a marquess house. Is it her?

“Milady, are you perhaps the former lady of Salvatore?” Lucas ask and the lady look at her with fear. Why is she so scared?

“umm, y-yes” she said with her head down. He knew what happened to the Salvatore house 3 years ago. That was the most talk about the whole kingdom. The Fall of the house of Salvatore, the Ducal house was massacred by an unknown group after their only daughter’s 16th birthday . no one has seen alive inside. The high society thought that the sole Heiress of the house was also been killed but then 3 years later this Cecelia appeared

“it must be hard for you right?” he ask, Lucas knew how it feels to see such a brutal killing. He once witness such an act when he as a child.

“yeah, the eyes and the judgement of people from the high society is terrible, they look at me like i grew another head on me.” Lucas laugh at her last phrase.

“haha, sorry” but the lady just smile.

“by the way i haven’t know your name yet.” Cecelia ask him. He is a bit uncertain to tell her.

“just call me Lucas”

“then you can call me Cecelia.”

“well then cecelia, why are you out here?”

“ i can’t breathe inside, i don’t know why but balls aren’t my thing and no one would like to talk to me inside, and i belong to a fallen house no one dare to talk to me , so I better go out.” She said, Lucas feels like this lady can understand him.

“i understand you, people in high society is hard to handle, they’ll come to you if you have something they need and disregard you if you are useless.” He said out of the blue.

Lucas feels suffocated being a royalty, all eyes on him and women only get close to him because of his title because of being a royalty is a burden for him. Good thing he was a second born and not a crown prince.

“i totally agree, your highness” Lucas was shock hearing Cecelia call him Your highness.

“hehe, i have an amazing memory your highness, i recall you with your blue eyes. your highness.” She said .

“don’t worry, i won’t tell anyone, “ then she stand up and bow at him

“have a great night your highness.” Then she left.

He was dumbfounded, he was found out. Someone did recognize him base on his eyes only.

“heh! What an interesting lady. Cecelia Salvatore huh” Lucas smirk as he looking at her back.

“at least this night is not as boring as it usually do.”
