Episode 20

Sasi turned to leave the balcony but not before giving him some advice.

"Alfa Zion, it's better for you to accept my rejection before you feel worse. I hope that at least this time you can be intelligent and do the right thing," Sasi spoke with her back to the man lying on the floor, and continued on her way without any remorse.

Zion trembled, his wolf Zeus surged inside him, causing indescribable pain. The rebellion of the Wolf is the most painful. He felt as if the claws of his powerful Wolf were tearing him apart from the inside. It wouldn't kill him, but he knew he would never hear from Zeus again.

These past 5 years had been terrible. Zion had lost the respect of his Wolf by marking another she-wolf. Zeus never came back. Zion couldn't transform during these 5 years. He was a Wolf Man without a Wolf. It was pathetic, but he still held his position because of his audacity and intelligence. But nothing was right. Everything worsened day after day, week after week, month after month, year after year. The attacks, the betrayals, everything felt like a curse.

The territory was terribly unstable, and Zion hated obeying the council of Elder Wolves and marking Katerina. It had been his second worst decision at that time. The first was leaving Sasi. He truly believed he could forget her and that being away from her wouldn't affect him, but it wasn't true. He had longed for her every second.

The repulsion he felt towards Katerina was so great that he couldn't even be intimate with her. He vividly remembered the nausea and disgust her blood caused him when he marked her. So, nothing turned out as promised by the council of Elder Wolves. Those prejudiced wolves had instilled in Zion an aversion towards the Omega in a methodical way. But someone in his life had influenced him to harbor this specific resentment.

After realizing he had destroyed the only good thing that had happened to him in his life, Zion, still in pain and devastated, went to his room. He had no energy to continue with the party. What was there to celebrate? That he had lost his beautiful family for nothing? That's what Zion had felt these past 5 years - "nothing."

Sasi approached the table with an elegant smile, while Agata looked at her with affection. And it was not because she was a Queen or the mother of her granddaughter. It was something deeper, something from the past that now affected the future.

The party ended without any incidents, but Sasi spoke with Agata to meet the next day to discuss something important. Agata was happy. Maybe she would finally find out what had happened between Saradiel and her son. She wanted to hear both versions, but she was sure that the version of the Omega Queen made more sense.

Everyone left, and Sasi took Lari to her room to help her. There would be a great battle for Lariel's survival. She was willing to do anything for her daughter, but not without settling accounts first. She would settle accounts with Zion Terrier in these next 15 days, and then she would take her daughter back. She would only return before her daughter turned 10.

That night, in the shadows, the tall and muscular figure of Zion sneaked into Lariel's room. He saw her sleeping like an angel. His daughter was as beautiful as her mother. He looked at her with fascination, never imagining that he had such a gorgeous daughter. He couldn't resist and caressed her lovely hair, kissing her forehead, tears threatening to escape suddenly.

The handsome man stood up and left the room to find his mother standing near the window. Agata turned around and looked at him, unperturbed. She asked authoritatively, in a way only a mother questions when she already knows the truth.

"I want to know what has happened between you and the Queen. And don't you dare lie to me. I know full well that that child is my granddaughter. I've known for almost 5 years, but I've waited to hear it from you. But your silence only confirmed that you had done something incredibly stupid. So, speak," Agata diverted her gaze to the window, not wanting to see her son's face in this moment.

Mother, she was my Mate, I found her when we confronted the hunters 5 years ago and they shot me with a silver bullet, she healed me and in gratitude, I hurt her, abandoned her, betrayed her, mother, I have regretted it every day of my life, I went back to find her, but she was already gone, I only found a witch from the coven and she told me that she had gone far away and didn't tell me more, I... it's because of her that Zeus hasn't returned, my Wolf rejects me and she just rejected me a moment ago, I despised her for being an Omega, a beautiful and sweet Omega who gave me her heart and I tore it apart like any piece of dirty paper. Zion cried bitterly, his guilt suffocating him, and Agatha became furious, she won't console him, not at all.
