CH 7: Let's save the kiss for...

ROSE

Although I did tell him all my conditions but didn't expect him to agree with all.

I wore a white wedding gown that fitted my figure, it was a fit to flare with a sweetheart top covering the best part of my breasts. Though it wasn't too exposed it wasn't too covered also. The stylish made a bun with my hair with some beautiful braid on the side but letting my bangs still flow. A white veil flared from the back of my bun as I entered the wedding hall.

Jane who was holding my hand helped me walk over those high heels," are you sure? you wanna do it? "she whispered as she was about to hand me to grandpa.

“I am, trust me,” I said as I glanced at grandpa and smiled.

I have never seen him this happy. Though he used to smile and laugh with me a lot, I have always felt a little pain behind his happiness, as if worrying about me, my future.

But this time, he looked truly happy, he was smiling so brightly that I wondered if Ryan was right and if it was the right decision. Holding back my tears, Just a year, okay, I whispered in the back of my mind, and then I took a step along with the moving wheel of grandpa's wheelchair.

He held a small wedding ceremony, as I had asked him, only he and my family were available with a small group of friends.

As I took another step, I took a glanced as Ryan, who I wouldn't lie, looked nice.

He was wearing a black tuxedo with hair angled towards the back, his dark hazel eyes which I guess, I have finally taken a deep look at, were fixed on me as if watching my every step. The more I look into his eyes the more I was getting pulled towards him. The time I reached the uplifted stage, grandpa slowly and gradually transferred my hand to him.

“Take care of my granddaughter, she is really precious to me,” he said as a tear fell off his eye.

I suddenly felt like hugging him and never let him go. Seeing him this happy was making my heart way more ache than usual.

I felt an urge to cry, but before I could hug grandpa, Ryan took my hand softly and concluded " I will grandpa, now she is precious to me too " he smiled and wiped my grandpa's tears with his free hand.

Don't know why but for a moment his words felt real as if I was really precious, but it wasn't the reality, right? A contract that was what it is. Not a marriage but a contract.

RYAN

She was looking like an angel, her dress, her hair everything seemed to be perfect, except her eyes, it looked as if she was about to cry and was trying her best to hold back her tears to smile, in front of everyone, especially her grandpa.

A quickly took her hand as if afraid that she would leave me.

She seemed to question her decision in the back of her mind and to be true I do too. I have never felt like that to any other woman. Never in my life have I approached a woman with so much effort that I didn't even think of marrying her even twice. I wanted her to be mine and that too as soon as possible.

 She gave me conditions for marriage which I agreed but to be true I wasn't too sure about the one-year contract. Would my attraction be over in just I year? I questioned myself. But I think the answer was clear in mind — No. That was too less as compared to the lifetime, that I had intended when I proposed to her.

She wanted to have a small wedding and so I gave her. As we moved at the center of the lifted stage, I could see her glancing at her mother, which according to my research, it's been two years since they had seen each other. She passed a smile of pleasure, to which Rose also smile but it looked more of just comfort for her mother.

ROSE

The priest started reciting the marriage rituals and soon he asks Ryan if he agrees to be my wedded husband.

He looked at me with a smile and said “yes”, I don't understand. His face reminded me of a contract while his eyes played a different story.

“Do you accept, to be Mr. Scott's wedded wife?” the question turned to me.

“Yes, I do,”  I said, glancing over my grandpa, whose face looked completely submerged with his tears.

 “Now, you may kiss the bride”  father declared looking at both of us while I looked at Ryan.

He came closer to face in order to kiss, his bride.

Yeah, I had become his bride, right?

And everyone kisses his bride, why only me was trembling.

It's not like I disgusted it but it wasn't also for what I was ready for.

I closed my eyes in tension, while instead of planting his lips over mine, he took my hand and landed on his knee, and asked “will you marry me? and promise to be my wife?”

I opened my eyes and looked at him, with surprise-filled in my eyes.

 What was he doing?

My heart beat faster. It felt so real. So real that it suddenly hurt. I scanned around and nodded a yes. And he finally kissed my hand.

RYAN

She looked at me as I moved closer to her face, I was about to place my lips when she closed her eyes, with a furrow covering her forehead. She looked more afraid than pleasured to kiss me and so I bent down to finally kiss her on her hands. I asked her the question to which she says yes.

I had personally asked her to which she had personally agreed, so there was no chance of her leaving me, not now and even not in the future.

I won’t accept.

ROSE

He stood up from his position and again moved closer to kiss me, but this time instead to focus on my lips he focused on something else, he gave his evil smirk while coming close to my ear and whispered “ let's save this kiss for our wedding night”
