Taekook: Prophecy Little Witch!

It’s late evening and already past the so-called old curfew timing of 9.30 pm.. it’s around 10 pm now and jisoo is doing a last minute stroll to buy some herbs in Euphoria town..

She isn’t scared of going out in the night.. she is smart enough to travel.. and always ensures that she has a weapon ready inside her jacket pocket.. it’s a small knife but enchanted.. powerful enough to make a creature sleep..

How does she know about an enchanted knife? Well, she made that herself.. she is learning many extraordinary things since Dong Wook died and even though everything is still new to her but no one can deny that she is a quick learner

However.. Jisoo doesn’t like her new life.. she parks her car silently at the corner of a alley.. and then, she gets down after ensuring her car is locked properly.. there are not much people one the street but there are few right now..

She takes a right turn and walks down a little slope.. she soon reached before a small attic type shop..

People walking in and walking out.. everybody tugged in their raincoats and warm sweaters.. it’s a very cold night indeed..

Even though there are disappearances taking place in Euphoria that doesn’t mean people wouldn’t go out now in the night.. some do when it’s needed and some just come out for fun.. it’s a human tendency and no one can win from wanting something that becomes spooky and dangerous.. the night of euphoria right now can easily be an exploration for many adventures people.. hence, someone or the other is usually out after the curfew was lifted..

Jisoo took a deep breath and entered a shop which has a small green Christmas tree glistening in lights on top.. she entered and the owner welcomed her.. they both know each other since Jisoo has been coming to this shop quite a lot in past couple of days.

Jisoo went by aisles after aisles and took some stuffs that she needed.. these were - some red threads, some spices and some twigs.. and at last a small cat doll..

She paid for her stuffs and left in no time..

Jisoo lits a cigarette as she drives.. it keeps her warm inside.. and also she isn’t allowed to do that at home.. and nobody knows she smokes in the first place except her best friend IU..

Unlike the houses on the streets and various alleys who have neighbours and community.. Jisoo’s house isn’t that lucky due to where she stays.. it gets lonely there and no friend is allowed at her place that’s because it can be a little scary..

She drove for nearly 45 minutes at a normal speed.. keeping a lookout through the window everywhere.. she can horrific noises and some even close by.. but she keeps her mind steady and alert..

Soon she reached at the east side..

She had to drive a little further and closer to the east side..

She stopped her car soon enough when a wooden house stood near the borders of the east side..

Right behind that small wooden house.. begins the east side that is covered with giant Christmas trees.. it can be a breathtaking nature when we look at the forest from the outskirts.. but make no mistake.. overwhelming and scary things lie inside.. but that isn’t a danger for Jisoo..

Jisoo hates this place though..

Jisoo parked her car down the small hill.. she walked towards her house and soon entered it..

An old lady sitting on a old rocking chair and knitting something.. the old lady has a round spectacles on and right now she is mumbling something..

The old lady snapped from her thoughts when the door made a noise of clicking when Jisoo closed it.. the old lady kept her glasses on then table and looked with her narrow eyes at Jisoo..

Yun - Mindeulle

You are late young lady! (Says firmly)

Jisoo

Sorry mamaw, I had to be extra careful.. (says apologetically)

Yun - Mindeulle

Hmmm..

Yun - Mindeulle

It’s okay..

Yun - Mindeulle

There is not much time left.. you have barely an hour to visit the centre of east side to other sisters..

Jisoo

Mamaw, do I really have to do this.. I hate this witch craft..

Jisoo

Can I not do this? (Says sadly)

Yun - Mindeulle

No.. sooi.. we must do this.. remember your promise to your mother..

Yun - Mindeulle

We can save this place.. before the bloodshed here gets out of control.. (says with immense disgust)

Yun - Mindeulle

Right now is the best time to kill those founding fathers.. they are devils and we have sworn to always fight evil for good and hence you must practice the witchcraft so that you can join your sisters in the east and finally destroy them..

Yun - Mindeulle

They will search for you and me.. we aren’t strong until united with our sisters..

Yun - Mindeulle

We are the last guardians of the east.. this border is what we protect and we can’t let all our hard work go in vain..

Jisoo knows she has no other option.. she even has promised to do this.. it’s her fate.. but it’s sad.. she is scared for her life..

She nodded to her grandma..

Jisoo

I have got the ingredients.. there is still an hour left.. so I will just go get ready and pack my stuff.. (says sadly)

Yun - Mindeulle

Thank you my child.. mamaw and your eomma are proud you.. (says with a pride)

Jisoo

(Smiles lightly)

Jisoo went straight to her room.. she kept the bags in her hand on her study table.. and then all she wanted was to flop on the bed for few minutes before she embarks on the new journey of her life…

She stares at the ceiling of his bed.. a galaxy feature is painted on the ceiling.. when she was a kid she used to always enjoy watching these glistening stars and planets.. but she didn’t know that they just defined what she is.,

A witch..

And she definitely doesn’t want to be a witch..

Jisoo sits up when her window started to make thud noises.. she went towards it and tried to close the window but couldn’t do it since it was windy and raining heavily outside..

After few attempts.. Jisoo gave up and leaned on the window edges.. she let the raindrops hit her face as she gets lost in her thoughts while watching the east side..

Jisoo’s POV:

Jisoo

I am a witch.. I wasn’t aware of it until I saw mayor Dong wook’s head on the euphorian flag..

Jisoo

It’s lonely out here.. I hate this life.. this magic took away my parents..

Jisoo

I am the last of Yun family.. my granny says we are the protectors of east side.. and that’s why we stay here at the borders of it..

Jisoo

There is one master we bow to though..

Jisoo

And we aren’t aware when that master will return..

Jisoo

I honestly hate that master.. and I hate how my granny and my parents have sworn even their lives for that master

Jisoo

I have so many dreams.. I wanted to become an artist not a witch..

Jisoo

Life was good in my childhood.. I was just a random girl like everyone else.. who used to laugh and get happy with all those girly stuffs.. I was really normal..

Jisoo

But everything changed when my eomma died when I was 14 years old.. she had cancer

Jisoo

I remember her last words so vividly.. it still haunts me..

Jisoo

She took a promise from me and I just agreed because my mother was dying.. how would I have known that her last words would become a reality soon..

Flashback to when Jisoo was 14 years old..

Her mother was taking her last breaths.. She called Jisoo close to her.. Jisoo was a crying mess.. she was very close to her mother.. her father died when she was a toddler.. her mother and granny is all that she had and now even her mother was going away..

Jisoo’s mom took her hand gently in hers.. and said weakly..

Selena: Jisoo, my daughter

Selena: I need a promise from you.. and you must promise me that you will agree..

Jisoo nodded immediately.. she would do anything for her mother..

Selena: There will be a time.. when the head of this euphoria will die.. He will be a Lee.. when that happens, look to your west.. then turn to the north.. then turn back to the south and close your eyes while you turn to the east..

Selena: The sky will shine red in the middle of the east forest.. That day, you will do everything that your grandma tells you too.. only you will be able to see the red light because you are our last blood..

Selena: But remember to do that, only when a Lee’s head is seen in the sky..

That was such an unusual demand.. what is she talking about, Jisoo thinks to herself.. she couldn’t think more as her mother’s breathing were getting heavier and faint..

Selena: Promise me, please

Jisoo nodded immediately..with tears wetting her cheeks..

Flashback ends:

Jisoo

I didn’t know that time.. that my mother’s words would become a fcking reality.. it was really unusual and unrealistic..

Jisoo

I was just trying to make a weak woman happy by agreeing to her dying wish..

Jisoo

She died.. I became a loner..

Jisoo

If it wasn’t for IU, I would have been a mess.. I got along with the world somehow.. and believe me I even forgot about my promise

Jisoo

Until.. euphoria saw dung wook’s head in the air without his body.. my mother’s words ringed that night in my ears.. when a Lee’s head would hung in the sky..

Jisoo

I followed her further statement.. looked to the west and then north and then turned to the south.. closed my eyes and looked to the east.. I was stunned a red bright sharp light in the middle of the east forest glowed only before my eyes..

Jisoo

The very next day.. I told my granny everything that happened with me..

Jisoo

And she told me I am a witch.

Jisoo

She said.. I needed to practice witch craft.. she gave me all her books.. I have started to make few spells and enchantments by now..

Jisoo

At first it was really interesting to explore all this.. but soon the magic started to make me scared because a group of witches would come to my dream.. talk to me.. call out to me.. question me and sometimes they would just sit beside my head as I watch my own self sleep near them..

Jisoo

The dreams started a week ago..

Jisoo

I told my granny about it

Jisoo

She says.. they are calling me to the heart of the east..

Jisoo

These are witches who are alive but have completely submitted themselves in serving that master and also protecting euphoria

Jisoo

They all have left their homes.. also this town centuries ago would burn down witches because they were scared of us. So, the witches took to hiding.. after many years, we were allowed because this is our ancestors land.. and Lees know we protect the east border and are harmless.. because there is only one enemy of human right now and those are vampires..

Jisoo

(Sighs)

Jisoo

My granny said.. tonight is the night that I will begin my meditation in the heart of the east.. with other sisters.. I will meet them all for the first time and they are waiting for me..

Jisoo

I will be gone for a week..

Jisoo

I wondered why there aren’t any male witches since my granny kept saying sisters..

Jisoo

I found why a day ago

Jisoo

It was in the history of a book that my granny gave..

Jisoo

The male witches are extinct or have died., as if it is a plague.. any male witches born would die at an early age..

Jisoo

Even now if a male witch is born to a woman,. He dies early age..

Jisoo

But grandma says.. if even a single male witch is alive that means he would be 1000 times powerful than even 1000 female witches together..

Jisoo

I wish there was a male witch then I wouldn’t have to work so hard and I wouldn’t have to give up my life to serve as a witch.. since he would be already powerful..

Jisoo

Anyways.. I guess.. it’s time..

Jisoo

I have to go..

Jisoo

At exactly 2.59 am.. my meditation and learning in witch craft begins with sisters..

POV Ends:

Jisoo started to pack her bag.. she needs to be on the road in 10 mins.. it is 10 minutes less for midnight..

And the twilight is when her journey to the east begins..

She came downstairs within five minutes..

But there was an awful silence downstairs.. it was an inexplicable erry feeling..

Jisoo’s granny was standing near the door with her stick held tightly by her hand., the old lady kept staring outside without blinking without making a movement

Jisoo walked slowly towards her

Meanwhile.. outside Jisoo’s house..

Four founding fathers were standing at a distance..

Kyung-soo

It’s a Yun.. I checked the citizen directory., Yun family stays here..

Baekhyun

I thought we wiped yun’s bloodline long time ago..

Kai

Well someone spared a little of Yun then.. (scoffs)

Hwasa

Geez I don’t even want to know who fcked up between us..

Kyung-soo

I can feel the witch power is less around them.:

Minduelle must be inside

Kai

That old hag has a very long life.. (says dramatically)

Baekhyun

Oh common.. we know why she has been living for ages.. she is serving her master and her master is great., (says with gritted teeth)

Kyung-soo

She is weak though.. lost all her magic when she tried to save her child..

Kai

Hmmm.. Selena.. I heard she was a beauty and a very strong witch..

Hwasa

Not stronger then me (rolled her eyes)

Baekhyun

She had a daughter right? (Looked at Kai)

Kai

Yeah.. my sources have confirmed she left a daughter behind.. minduelle b!tch is just protecting that daughter..

Kyung-soo

We use the daughter for the prophecy then..

Kai

What if she isn’t strong?

Hwasa

Then we force her to be strong.. (shows her fangs while staring at the wooden house with eyes glowing dark maroon)

Kyung-soo

Let’s go..

Meanwhile., inside Jisoo’s house..

Jisoo tapped at her granny’s shoulder lightly..

Jisoo

Mamaw.. (says softly)

But mamaw turned towards Jisoo with a pair of fearful eyes and sweat dripping in the corner of her forehead

Yun - Mindeulle

Ji.. Jisoo.. (says fearfully)

Yun - Mindeulle

They.. they found us..

Yun - Mindeulle

I am not strong..

Yun - Mindeulle

Jisoo.. you.. need to run..

Yun - Mindeulle

They will.. hurt.. you..

What? (Confused)

Mamaw.. I have packed everything., I will be leaving from here.. (about to open the door)

Yun - Mindeulle

(Holds Jisoo’s hand)

My child., RUN.. (gasps in fear)

Before Jisoo could say anything there was a knock on the door and on that sound mamaw’s stick fell from her hand.,

Yun - Mindeulle

Run child., run., (cries desperately)

Jisoo

Mamaw.. relax., there is no danger., I am well prepared

Yun - Mindeulle

No.. no., run.,

Jisoo opened the door., she is a strong woman., and she knows little bit of magic.. she can tackle any danger, that’s what she thinks.,,

She opened the door., the granny let out a fearful squeal..

A woman stood at the door.. dressed in a ball gown attire., Jisoo was confused but she knows the woman., she is a Kim.,

Hwasa

Hi., there., I am a little lost

Hwasa

Can You help me? (Says innocently)

Jisoo

Why would you be lost on a private property and why are you at the east side anyways (says confidently)

Hwasa

Too much talking.. (says lazily)

Hwasa

Can I come in, I am thirsty?(pout)

Jisoo

No.. you can’t..

Jisoo was about to close the door but hwasa touched the door to stop her., but hwasa was soon thrown away harshly to the ground because the door was enchanted.,

Hwasa got angry., she got up immediately and flies towards the door.. she was about to enter through the door but she stopped her feet in mid air., scared of what might happened next.,

Jisoo laughed at her., she is a courageous girl., she will be that till the last of her breath., this annoyed hwasa a lot., her vampire pride was getting hurt.,

Jisoo

Looks like you can’t come in after all..

And then suddenly a loud swush noise came., Jisoo turned., and her eyes widened when a man stood holding her granny’s neck and that man’s fangs were ready to dig in her mamaw’s neck.,

Kai

But I can., ( chuckles evilishly and winks at hwasa)

Kai

Little witch.. decide what you should do next wisely.. (growls in a whisper)

Kai’s voice echoed in the night and this send away bats who were in hiding in the forest of east side..
