Mourning!

Gukk woke up a little late after witnessing the most horrific night of his life where euphoria’s mayor is dead.. it was a cold-blooded murder

Gukk has already missed his bus.. so his driver is going to drive him to the university.. although, he expected the university to be closed since it was a mourning period for the town..

But Sora said.. the university will not close randomly even for the death of the mayor.. that was the wish of late-mayor Dong Wook..

Gguk doesn’t have any desire to study today.. but he is excited to meet his girlfriend and his friends..

IU has already texted him multiple times and is waiting for him in the university.. while yoongi kept texting him blabbering about how shitty the environment is today.. it feels even the euphoria weather is mourning as thick grey clouds took hold of the town and snow gave wet feeling

Nevertheless.. gguk did his morning routine and finally was in his car to euphoria high..

He reached after nearly an hour and half’s drive..

He clenched onto his bag.. suddenly feeling revived with expectations of hugging his girlfriend

But as gguk entered the ground between the university walls.. He stopped because everyone seemed to have been gathered around.. a podium was set in the front..

Gguk joined the crowd.. everyone seemed to be very silent and sharing nervous glances.. he searched for his girlfriend which was easy as she stood in the front row with her brother and best friend.. IU hugged gguk immediately.. tension was clearly visible among all..

They all straightened up as the principal took the podium with immense sadness.. He is burdened with a sad and heartbreaking news and he doesn’t know how to even begin with.. he clears his throat multiple times and wipes the sweat off his forehead in a unison.. his eyes roaming around at every student.. but his smile was way too sad..

After a minute of staring and preparing himself.. and the students looking at him with expectations.. the principal began to speak..

Euphoria High Principal: I.. (takes a deep breath) yesterday night, we witnessed the shock of our lives.. Our humble Mayor Dong Wook faced a brutal death..

Euphoria High Principal: But looks like the nights have gotten darker for euphoria and right now my heart pains to tell you about something that would take the ground beneath you..

Euphoria High Principal: last night.. a party took place in the townhall.. when the cops arrived some students took shelter in one of the unused rooms of the hall..

This made students look at each other with guilt..

Euphoria High Principal: This morning about 30 students of Euphoria High were found dead.. their bodies brutally bitten and distorted.. (clears his throat again)

The news made everyone choke on their own saliva.. not so silent gasps and Teary voices were being heard among the students.. they can’t believe this news.. it’s so sudden..

Euphoria High Principal: I won’t lie.. I am scared at the moment.. but I want you to all know that unity and comfort is extremely needed right now..

Euphoria High Principal: Due to the circumstances.. for the first time we have decided to shut down the university for a week.. Euphoria needs to overcome this great loss and it is indeed a very unbearable moment for us

Euphoria High Principal: I request you all to get into the buses and it will take you to your respective home.. I am going to circulate the name of the students who died.. if anyone was close to them and needs counselling we will welcome you with open arms.. Remember, together we can overcome anything..

The teachers gave the children names of the students who died.. IU cried hiding in gguk’s embrace as she lost her classmate with whom she was on good talking terms.. sadly, no one knows that he was the first victim of hwasa.. yoongi was sad, he wasn’t crying but definitely sad.. as his friend James who held the party was dead too.. Jisso was neutral in the situation, she wasn’t much close to anyone.:

They all went back to their homes.. IU, Yoongi and Jisoo stayed at gguk’s mansion that day.. as the next day they will visit the graveyard to mourn for the losses that euphoria has witnessed

The next day.. gguk along with his girlfriend, friend and maid.. visited to the euphoria cemetery

He wore a combination of all black with a tint of grey..

The families of the victims gathered in the first row.. mourning.. mothers crying loudly, fathers trying to hold up their pain.. siblings and friends hugging each other and crying silently.. the scene was very sorrowful.. it was the kind of grief that was visible in the greyness of the clouds above.. the kind of grief which made your stomach upset and pushing you to choke.. it was the kind of grief which just drained you completely down

Even gguk couldn’t shrug off the weight inside him due to the pain of so many losses..

One by one everyone paid their tributes.. they all walked from the graveyard to the townhall..

It was the time for the new mayor to speak... since the old one is dead.. euphoria needs comfort from its authorities and its time for Dong wook’s sister to take charge of the town..

As they reached in the townhall.. one by one everyone settled down.. waiting for the new mayor..

Gguk noticed, however, there were new faces in the hall.. sitting on the first row... a woman.. too bold for a woman to be honest.. and then three men.. too cold to be honest..

Gguk’s attention shifted when he sees a woman in her mid 20s take hold of the microphone at the podium..

The euphorians started to whisper with each other.. the news is shocking indeed.. this is the first time in their lives that a Lee member won’t rule the town.. but when a man in his mid 30s.. Ofcorse that’s how he looked like for human age.. walked to the podium.. his gaze was so intense and firm that the crowed immediately silenced..

Last night we arrived in Euphoria on our wise mayor Dong Wook’s request.. sadly, we never got to meet him..

Kai has to stop himself from laughing.. as he is reliving his evil work on Dong Wook..

There was something about these Kim siblings that made gguk very uncomfortable.. he feels uneasy as he stares at them.. he doesn’t understand why.. since he has never met them.. but gguk can’t help but feel the intense dark vibe for them..

Gguk didn’t realise that this time he was staring straight at them.. Kai turned at exactly same time.. their eyes met.. Kai winked at him and gguk turned his gaze away while feeling the back of his hair standing uncomfortably
