"Reese!" The tousled-copper haired teenage man called out her name as he promptly rushed himself into her desk. He was worried sick. "Where were you yesterday? I was calling you a thousand times and..."
"Will you calm down for a sec?" The young woman interrupted, cutting him off mid-sentence. "It's me who should be asking you the same thing. Where were you yesterday?"
Well damn, that actually came out wrong.
"What are you talking about, Reese?" He asked and his confused expression made her discern of the situation he wasn't completely aware of. "Look," He begun. "I even skipped the whole afternoon class and asked the dumb blonde to give me a ride since I still don't have my car." Jungkook sighed as his face fell in frustration. "I came to check up on you but you were gone missing in your apartment."
What?
"B-but I," Reese pressed her lips into a thin line and furrowed her brows. Focusing on his stare. She knew he wasn't lying. But what was all that yesterday? She knew her eyes couldn't tell her lies and believed in what she saw that day. It was confusing her heart. But she had to remain collected. She had to save her only beating life force, her heart.
Then, a sudden pain had brought her down. Tch... instead of floating under the dizzy spell, Reese focused on the fabric of his shirt. She couldn't move. She couldn't breath. Seconds felt like minutes and minutes were like days. Still, she tried her mind to be functional.
She watched Jungkook’s worried expression as his faint voice echoed through her ears. "Reese, are you okay?"
She didn't answer and stood firmly with her remained strength, gripping at the near desk for support. What is wrong with my body? "I just need someー"
"Reese!" The astonished copper-haired man called out to her and attempted for another. “Hey, Reese?” He caught her waist in time before her whole physique could even collapse fully on the concrete floor. And the next, he felt her cheeks with the back of his hand as he held her closer to him, supporting her weight. Her body was now seething with an anusual increase of temperature. "Shit, you're burning."
Jungkook carried her with his hand, supporting her back and the other to her legs. Damn, shit... he continued to curse mentally. His heart was in fluttering panic, drifting his way to the infirmary. He almost stumbled in his haste yet he adjured his legs to keep going, pleading Reese to hang on.
And as the hazelnut-brown head rushed through the silent corridors, V caught a glance of him, passing quite some several rooms including his. Reese? What happened? He moved out from his seat, not bothering of the ongoing boring lectures. The professor even called his attention yet still, he chose to ignore the old man's incessant rants and warnings. He couldn't careless irregardless of the consequences ahead.
Detention.
He looked at them at a far distance. His chest fall heavily with worried expression. He wanted to move away from his spot and chase after them but... what for? She already got Jungkook on her side. He wasn't needed. He knows. God even knows. V, why aren't you giving up? You looked so much like a jamless person, a fool. He mentally noted to himself as he half-laughed at his own insensitivity.
"I'm a love loser."

Her head was pounding. She couldn't even tell which was which. A dream? She had the difficulty opening her eyes as if it was glued together, permanently.
The wavy-haired teen felt something cold was pressed against her forehead and it was enough to make her eyes to flutter open. There her boyfriend was, and what she hadn’t seen coming was the feeling she would had when he met his dark-grayish orbs. She felt completely awestruck the way those pair of spheres held her stare. She wanted to pretend she didn't see it but her own heart was betraying her. She was drowning and suddenly forgotten how to breath.
What the hell is wrong with you, Reese?
Still, his eyes studied her carefully and felt herself bracing back from his comfort and security that his presence brought. "Thank goodness you're awake." A smile flashed on his face but she could still sense glumness in his eyes. "I was worried sick."
"I know," She uttered. Her voice sounded hoarse and weak. Even her mouth was dry. "And I'm sorry."
"You don't have to." He smiled, assuringly. "I'll take you home. You need to rest."
"What about school?"
"Don't worry. Everything was taken care of." He held her clammy hand tightly to his, ceasing the shakiness from her body. "I'll get you medicine when we get home."
"Thank you."
"Anything for you, baby." His forehead landed gently on hers. Their noses brushed for just a moment. "I was told by the school nurse we can leave once you're awake. I've got all I needed to take care of you." He whispered against her breath as his mouth inched closer to her lips.
"You might catch my fever." She smiled and her eyes fluttered shut when she felt his hot breath grazing over her neck.
"I wouldn't mind sharing it with you." The eager young man’s lips finally met hers but pulled away before he could enjoy it too much. "Let's get sick together." He then returned his mouth into hers, devouring her once again. Her lips were soft yet his kiss was urgent and filled with need. She tasted good. Too damn good for him.
Reese broke off their heated make out session when she felt her breath wobble. "Sorry, I need to breath."
"Why are you saying sorry when you don't have to?" Jungkook chuckled at her remark, amused. "Don't make it too obvious when you know I can't control my hunger over you." He teased. "Let's wait a little longer. My half brother will come to pick us up." He sat beside her on the bed and his palm met her forehead. "You're fever isn't going down. I'll take you to the hospital after this."
"No need. I’m completely fine, Jungkook." She protested, noting to herself that she's perfectly fine. "It's just a fever. I’ll get better in no time."
"What if it will get worse?"
"It won't. I promise you, okay? Just you and some rest are all I need. Nothing more.” She knew that she had to say something. It wasn't until she tasted the saltiness on her lips. She didn't realized tears were escaping on her eyes. "S-sorry for not telling you what happened yesterday." She exclaimed. "I'm sorry for worrying you, too much."
Sorry, I doubted you.
"Ssh, it's alright." Jungkook calmed her dejected emotions down. "We have each other, okay? I'm always on your side." He pulled her into an embrace and held her as if letting go was never an option.
I love you, only you.
•••••••
Jungkook’s brother had arrived and in no time, he found his arena red Lamborghini Urus parked in-front of the main gates of the school.
"Get some sleep, baby." Jungkook whispered as he moved at the opposite end-side of the car's door, allowing Reese’ head to rest on his lap.
Before the petite young woman close her eyes and pray for a dreamless sleep. Her gaze had landed through the driver's seat and to the person who was supposed to be the said brother. But rather, he looked familiar with those describable features running through her head. Glassed skin as pale as the wintery snow and almost close to translucent. Even the brood physique figure of his brother were almost a lot like Jungkook’s. Though the only difference was the hair color. A jet black you can compare close to an eerie silent night.
"Sure your girl is fragile, huh?” The other breathing specimen on the driver’s seat begun with the exact manner of expression as Jungkook’s. “What happened?”
Reese felt strange, hearing his voice. It was lulling her, encouraging her to sleep and she did.
"Just shut the hell up and drive us home." Jungkook demanded, looking at the side window, cynicism poison in his voice.
"Home? Hers?"
"No." Jungkook answered shortly, irritation sounded in his tone. From his expression it was clear that both weren’t in good brotherly terms. "Our house."
"Damn brother," The raven head mocked the younger brother and never did once he faltered his focus out on the road. "You sure know how to make a move. What's her name?"
"None of your concern." Jungkook scoffed, ignoring the damn question. "I don't need to introduce what is mine to you. You don't have to know her and neither will she." He retaliated. "Stay away from her. Don't ever come near her." He warned, imposing the person he's talking to was a real threat, his only brother. "You know the consequences, Jimin."
Oh?
"You hated me that much, don't you?" Jimin noted, eyeing his half brother's reflection on the rear-view mirror. His lips widened into a smirk, amused of his half brother’s possessiveness to the girl in held tightly in his arms. "Or were you afraid, I might stole her?"
