The young man in his early twenties watched over her at the opposite side of the table as if he were descrying a beautiful movie scene, propping his arms on the top desk to support his head. He did enjoy the great view in-front of him. Not wanting to take a single blink, if possible.
He could even smell the sweetness of her hair that falls freely under her chest and thought, he might die of the pleasing ache it brought to his soul. A never ending cycle he witness every counting days. Seeing her fresh-faced features, holding her hand and kissing her as if it was the first time he fell in love with her. Like fifty first dates, no, a hundred or even more.
Jungkook had never once been so tired, down to the depth of his bones and never had he felt so alive. He always thought of the only source of his only lifeline could be summated up in a single word, Reese. No one else belonged to his peerless beating organ other than her.
It was a calm Wednesday afternoon when a hint of warmth pierced through her black- pearled eyes as the sunset rays settled around them, casting her face and body in perfect profile. The young teenage man even compared her whole existence close to a house of a real beauty. Exactly like her heart and down to her soul.
He loved her and will always love her 'til the ends of him.
"Reese." He called, desisting her from flipping another page. And finally breaking herself from being too enthrall of the book she spent reading for hours. "Reese," He called out again, wanting her full attention to him. Let alone, he felt undeniably stupid of holding a pint of jealousy over a non-breathing object from her hold.
Reese hummed, lifting her chin up slightly to face him. The familiar sight she'd always fall for, every single day. His sweet, angelic and golden like features she love the most. Her only home. "Sorry." Was all she could muttered. "I made you wait. Again." She gave him her comforting smile and closed the book, gently placing it on the desk. "I didn't notice the time running."
Jungkook shook his head a few times, reassuring her that it wasn't a big deal. Then she smiled, her face full of warmth. "You can always take your time, baby." His patience was wide as the ocean with her beside him. "I don't fucking mind if it's you."
"Hey, lovebirds." Someone startled them from behind. That deep familiar sound was none other else, Val Valentine or also known as V. "Are my eyes getting blurry? Really? The great Jungkook Louis Matthew the VII is in the library grounds? You made a damn history man."
"Fuck you!" Jungkook retaliated, annoyed by the dumb blonde's deafening noise. "Get lost! And don't you state my full name again. Ever!"
"Dude, you're gross! No way I am gonna fuck you. And for the record? I don't suck dicks, your highness." V recoiled back in sarcasm and a faint smile formed on Reese' thinned lips. They're at it again, bickering like an old married couple. She too, enjoyed their strikingly bizarre kind of friendship. "Reese, if this old man isn't treating you well." He sneakily hung an arm over her shoulders and let out an ominous smirked. Oh, he better not. Not unless he never wanted his life back. "I am going to take you away by force."
"Hey! Get the hell off her!" The pale hazel-toned hair man of about the same age was about to smack the silly blonde boy but on the other hand, V was way too quick enough to scape himself away from her. "The next time you'll lay a finger on her." He warned and his tone came out as more of a vicious threat. "I am going to kill you myself, I swear."
"I'm scared, Jungkook. Damn fucking scared." V mocked and he was enjoying it, a little too much. Luckily, the man before him was his best friend and almost a brother-like one. If not, sure he'd be kissing his self goodbye to hell. "Well then, see you tomorrow in school, lovebirds."
•••••••
Reese rolled out of her bed at seven the next morning. Seven? Shoot! She suddenly became the most paranoid person in the planet with a thirty minutes chance to report in school. The petite young lady hurriedly took a shower, dried her hair in an instant and spanned a few minutes doing her make-up as light as possible.
With a heavy breathe, she was already dragging her feet onto the road and worst case scenario? She already did missed the school bus. Now, the only choice she had was to dash and probably would took her more than fifteen minutes to reach the campus grounds. Her boyfriend she has been with for two years was supposed to pick her up every morning but he called last night he wouldn't be able to since his brother who just came back from a foreign country will temporarily used his ride until he gets one for himself.
Passing quite a several structures, her peripheral vision landed across the streets which made her halt from moving a step further. There stood from a distance, a well physique figure of a man with quite an average height and a defining characteristic she have probably seen before. He has a pale looking skin close to a snow. His hair was dyed exactly as her set of black pair orbs. It was almost glossy and smooth, quite beaming under the ardent rays of the sun that framed his face to almost a perfection.
Quite the oddness, but her heart made a sudden galloped into her chest and only partly from a sudden surprise when the jet black haired man made a turn to his side. A familiar like features was revealed through her glimpse.
But when and where? She couldn't possibly remember.
Reese reluctantly followed him, forgetting the fact that she was late on her first class. She crossed the streets and tried to fought her way through the crowd, pushing and shoving to wherever it was necessary and get herself through. She never wanted to lose track of him.
Where am I going at a time like this?
She breathed in and out against the dampened moist air. The next she knew, a numbing drizzle of water had hit her skin. She groaned when the heavy downpour had followed her along the road, reaching the outskirts. Drenching her as if she were made out of sponge. She couldn't careless. She wanted to find out, at all driven cost. But she had lost tracks of him and was nowhere to be found.
Negative.
But the matter didn't stop her. She still, continued to wander around, acting like she knew where he was going. And all along, she was just as lost like a stray cat loitering on the streets.
She too, held mortal conscious mental reactions and was allowed to feel things. The lone wolf young woman was getting impatient of what the strange man just made her feel something she never wanted to feel and left her with a thousand unanswered questions. She trusted her instincts more than enough. She was alone but she wasn't hurting.
Hate? Anger? Agony?
It wasn't the exact words of her unresolved feelings. Although she didn't want to feel anything especially if that was the concern. Was it really him? Or Reese was just seeing things?
"Why are you doing this to me?" She mouthed silently. Her pointed question even sent a chill down to her spine. "It is you, isn't it?"
