Arranged Marriage

Holding my father's hand I walked on the aisle, wearing a white weeding gown, which had a v-neck and sweep train.

People were standing on both the sides as I walk down the aisle. When we reach on the stage my mom and dad gave me a soft kiss on my cheek before handing over my hand to his.

He bowed his head with respect to my father and held my hands gently. We walked towards the center of the stage.

Even though those were a few steps, I was very nervous. I expected this day to come, but it was so soon for me. But I don't complain about my marriage. I knew what my parents do is only for my good.

He was wearing a three piece tailor made wedding suit. It was a grey one which matched my grown hem. I was not familiar with his figure. The only thing I remembered was, he had a pointed chin which complemented his features.

The wedding organizer came to both of us and started, "Nicolas Robert do you take Astrid Park to be your lawful wife? Do you promise to be faithful to her in good and bad times, in sickness and in health, to love her and honor her all the days you shall live?"

"I do.", I slide my face towards his direction. I noticed that he was staring at me.

Again the organizer asked,"Astrid Park do you take Nicolas Robert to be your lawful husband? Do you promise to be faithful to him in good and bad times, in sickness and in health, to love him and honor him all the days you shall live?"

"I do.", I said plainly without any emotions. But actually.I really felt upset about leaving my family back.

He took the ring and slipped it in my left ring finger. This ring was simple looking but custom made. A diamond was placed in the center of a platinum ring. It carved the letters NA.

I held his hand and slipped the ring in his finger. His hands are so warm. I loved the warmth of his hand. I shook my memories back to the ceremony.

We turned back towards the organizer and he said, "Now I pronounce you man and wife. You may kiss the bride."

I exhaled deeply. He was gonna kiss me and it is gonna be my first kiss, which I hated sharing with him before so many people.

He tuned towards me, held both of my hands and planted a kiss on my forehead. I smiled at him. He smiled back at me.

The wedding was over but next comes the reception for which I had no energy left.
