Would you like a lift back to your inn perhaps? There are no cabs around this time of day, especially in such a small village as this one.

Liam Nightly

So? Do you require any services I might be able to offer to a less-than-average employee?

He was attracting so much attention. If I refuse him now, I'll be in bother later.

Come on, Maven.

Prescott

Unfortunately, this model of helicopter only has three seats. One for myself, one for the president and one spare.

Noticing me trying to suppress my shivers, Maven bit his bottom lip.

Maven Jacobs

You should go with him, Clo.

Chloe Cage

But that would mean-

Maven Jacobs

There's a train that passes by here in an hour. I'll take it. You'll catch cold if you are wearing wet clothes in this season.

He then looked to Liam.

Maven Jacobs

Make sure that she gets a warm bath.

He then sneered.

Liam Nightly

I'll make sure that she warms up, don't worry.

Both of their eyes clashed, Maven frowning and clenching his fist.

Liam Nightly

Come on, Chloe.

I turned around and smiled.

Chloe Cage

Thank you. I'll make up to you, promise!

As I jumped into the helicopter, my bottom landing on a seat, the helicopter took off, leaving Prescott and Maven on the ground.

Maven Jacobs

Hold on, weren't you supposed to be on that helicopter?

He chuckled.

Prescott

How unfortunate. I must have forgotten to jump on.

Prescott

A small word of advice, Mr Jacobs? Master Liam is a powerful man and a dangerous foe. If you try and compete for something against him, you won't win.

Maven Jacobs

Are you saying...

Prescott

You may remain friends with Miss Cage if you so desire... but don't try and make any romantic advancements towards her or else my master will make sure that you pay.

He smirked.

Maven Jacobs

Chloe will never like someone as flashy and pompous as him.

He chuckled.

Prescott

You might be surprised as to what a little money and gifts can do to a woman. Can you offer her what she desires? Everything that she's ever wanted? Can your wallet keep up with her demands?

Maven clenched his fists. He didn't know what to say to that.

While we flew towards the inn, I frowned.

Chloe Cage

Why did you make that kid do that?

Liam Nightly

I don't know what you mean.

Chloe Cage

So you coincidentally found me in need of a lift in your flashy helicopter, leaving Maven behind?

Liam Nightly

I don't want my sxxual partner to have sxx with anyone else.

I rolled my eyes.

Chloe Cage

I'd never have sxx with Maven. I don't see him that way. I like to think of him as an older brother, that's all.

Liam Nightly

You do?

Chloe Cage

Yes. And again, I don't see why this would be your business?

He then lifted up my chin and looked at me in the eyes.

Liam Nightly

Naturally because you are currently mine exclusively. I'm not dating anyone so neither should you.

Chloe Cage

You're a gynophobe.

Liam Nightly

I'm not a gynophobe with you.

Liam Nightly

I can touch you, physically, intimately and in every way possible.

Liam Nightly

So until I find out why my gynophobia doesn't act up around you, you aren't going anywhere.

He's so... bossy!

If I could, I'd throw him out of the helicopter right here and now!
