Chapter 4: All for his sake

Ren awoke the best morning in hospital and Himari was there on a chair resting beside him.

“This woman don’t tell me she spent the night here” he noticed she was uncovered and instead got up slowly to pass her a blanket near him. She then awoke and then he immediately threw the blanket over her in surprisment.

“Hey?!” she complained.

“You deserve it” he told her sharply and she cleared her head after lifting up the blanket over her head.

“So I see you’re really alright jerk!” she told him and then he gave her a warm smile.

“You can smile normally?” she argued and he cleared his throat to conceal his emotions.

“I know how to do really cheesy things like that” he told her and then she got up in disapproval.

“You didn’t even eat your food yet did you?” he nodded in agreement and she sighed having to be the one to let him eat properly. He noticed her consideration and only wanted to cause more problems for her and tease her more and then one of his managers appeared with a very important document.

“Leave it here she will sign it” the manager nodded after Ren spoke and then Himari was curious to learn more.

“This is what you owe me for your hospitality so please sign it” she signed it blindly meaning that she did not read any of its contents and then handed the file back to him. He sent it to his manager once more and he left with a slightly dismal look on his face. Himari looked at Ren appear very demonic as though he was conspiring against her and then she got up.

“What did you make me sign?!” she fired questions at him.

“What’s happening?!” she yelled and then his ears ached a little.

“Ugh so loud shut up. They are only marriage documents you should’ve read it” he stated.

“M... MARRIAGE DOCUMENTS!!” she almost lost her balance and then dropped the hot soup on her arm.

“Ahh relax my ears are aching again, I didn’t think I’d have to serve you” he told her after she gazed at him in confusion and wiped her arm with an unused tissue on his tray.

“Why did you do this to me?! How could you, bastard?!” she accused him countless times and left the room in utmost disappointment and was going back home but was stopped by Ren.

“I’m not letting you leave we’re married now did you forget?!” he admitted and she laughed hysterically.

“Who’s married?! Not me as if I’d marry your pathetic ***!” she badmouthed him over and over again and then he got up as though his condition was back to normal and carried her. She battled through his arms but it was futile.

“Let me go bastard!” he took her to his limousine and fastened her seatbelt after getting in and then she knew that she was going to his place.

“This is escalating too quickly I can’t believe this how dare he ..?!” she was angry and had thoughts to herself and was distraught but mainly angered by his sudden move. She received a text from Hiro and then instead of responding she turned off her phone. They had finally reached Ren Yukimura’s mansion and Himari was in awe of the place despite wanting to leave and then he took her around the place for her to familiarise herself with it and then escorted her to their room.

“Why did you marry me?!” she finally asked and he rubbed his chin.

“Oh yeah why did I marry you?!” he asked and she looked at him in shock.

“Wait what .. HEY YOU know the answer?!” she was cold around him and then pulled her waist towards him.

“You did not let me and Shizuka be together so now you’ll pay the price” he spoke apathetically and she smiled.

“How arrogant and foolish of you I will file for a divorce right away” she looked at him in slight guilt when she saw his saddened expression but it was concealed deep beneath his anger and then he took her to the library where he wrote all his books to distract himself.

“Oh wow this is soooooooooo coool!!!” she ran around the place freely and then noticed her childish nature when she saw the comics right in front of her.

“This is amazing!” she praised the place several times and then saw more volumes of her favourite series.

“Oooooh this is the next part my favourite!!!” he watched her smile and then heard her speak.

“This is your favourite?!” he raised an eyebrow in slight disappointment he had written that purely for temporary entertainment.

“Oh that’s right I forgot you’re the author, you’re honestly amazing this series is my all time favourite” that was the first time she had ever stated something positive about him despite finding him handsome initially.

“You’re welcome to come by here anytime to read” he blushed a little and then walked away. She realised that he was not as bad as how he appeared but still wanted to discover his biggest scars as well wanting to find a possibility to leave the place, she then devised a plan to leave first thing in the morning.
