Threads of Crimson (Fan Fiction)
EPISODE 5: A Curse That Smiles.
The hallway was silent, dust settling from the collapsed walls. Yuji was gone — or rather, his body wasn’t his anymore.
Sukuna stood in his place. Tall, markings glowing like brands, his smile stretching wide as his crimson gaze pinned Arisa in place.
Megumi stiffened.
Nobara’s grip on her hammer tightened.
Nobara
Shit—Yuji lost control?”
But Arisa knew better. This wasn’t just Yuji losing control.
This was Sukuna waking up. And he was looking directly at her.
Sukuna tilted Yuji’s head, his smile sharp.
Sakuna
“Interesting. Very interesting.
His voice was deep, mocking, dripping with hunger.
He didn’t lunge. He didn’t attack. Instead, he walked slowly, each step deliberate, savoring the tension like a cat circling a trembling bird.
Sakuna
Little girl, what are you?”
Arisa’s lips parted, but no sound came out. Her cursed energy crackled faintly, betraying her fear.
Sukuna’s grin widened. “Ahh. That smell. Not human. Not curse. Something between. Something wrong.”
Her breath hitched.
Group Chat — (Only Arisa’s Phone)
Her phone buzzed violently again. She pulled it out, fingers shaking. The group chat flickered.
Nobara
Get AWAY from him!!
Sakuna
(cursed text): 𝘕𝘰 𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘴 𝘮𝘦 𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘥𝘰.
The words bled across her screen, jagged and red
His mouth didn’t move, but his words echoed inside her skull.
Arisa
Get… out of my head.”
Sakuna
Oh, little one. You can’t keep me out. Your cursed energy sings to me. You’re a beacon in the dark, screaming my name.”
Arisa
“I’m nothing like you.”
Sukuna leaned closer, Yuji’s face inches from hers, though the eyes weren’t Yuji’s at all. They burned, cruel and knowing.
Megumi took a cautious step forward.
But Yuji’s voice was gone, buried under Sukuna’s chuckle.
Nobara
Why isn’t he attacking?
Gojo wasn’t there. No one was. Only them — and the King of Curses, who had chosen not to strike, but to study.
Arisa forced herself to meet his gaze, though her knees trembled.
Arisa
If you want me dead, just kill me
Sakuna
Kill you? No, no. Death is boring. You’re much more fun alive.”
He dragged a clawed finger along the wall, carving symbols into the plaster effortlessly.
Sakuna
I can feel it in your blood. Power that doesn’t belong to humans. A secret you don’t even know yourself.”
Her chest tightened. He knows. He sees everything.
Sukuna whispered, words curling around her mind like chains.
Sakuna
No matter how far you run, I’ll follow. And when I’m bored of watching…I’ll devour you.”
Group Chat — (Arisa’s Screen Cracking)
Megumi
Don’t let him touch you!
Sakuna
cursed text): 𝘠𝘰𝘶 𝘤𝘢𝘯’𝘵 𝘩𝘪𝘥𝘦. 𝘕𝘰𝘵 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘮𝘦.
The letters burned into the glass until it cracked beneath her thumb.
Then, just as suddenly as he’d come, Sukuna laughed and stepped back.
His markings faded. His grin softened. Yuji collapsed to his knees, gasping for air, clutching his chest.
But Arisa didn’t answer. Her phone was shattered in her hand, her body trembling.
Because now she knew.
Sukuna had noticed her. And he wouldn’t stop.
