Threads of Crimson (Fan Fiction)
EPISODE 4: The King Of Curses Notices
Yuji
How’d Gojo’s test go yesterday, Arisa?? 😁
Nobara
Bet you embarrassed yourself.
Yuji
Haha, it’s okay. Gojo’s tests are rough. I threw up after mine.
Arisa laughed nervously at her screen. Maybe she wasn’t the only one who felt overwhelmed here.
Then Megumi’s message appeared:
Megumi
There’s a mission tonight. Local reports say students are vanishing at Nishinaka High. Grade 2 curse suspected.
Nobara
Finally. Something real
Nishinaka High
The abandoned school loomed under a pale moon. Its windows were black, empty sockets staring into the night. The air smelled of mildew and blood.
Yuji adjusted his hoodie, flashing Arisa a reassuring grin.
Yuji
Don’t worry. We’ve got this.”
Nobara cracked her knuckles.
Nobara
Just don’t freeze up again.”
Megumi’s expression was unreadable.
Megumi
Stay behind us if you have to.”
Arisa nodded, though her heart thudded painfully in her chest.
They pushed inside. The halls were lined with broken lockers, graffiti curling over the walls. But beneath the dust and decay, a suffocating aura pressed against them.
The curse was here. Watching.
The Curse Appears
A shriek split the silence. From the ceiling dropped a grotesque figure — long arms ending in jagged claws, a head split open like a flower of teeth. Its eyes rolled wildly as it hissed.
Yuji darted forward, fists glowing with cursed energy. Megumi’s divine dogs materialized, snapping at the curse. Nobara slammed nails into the wall, readying her hammer.
Arisa braced herself, hands trembling as black sparks surged across her skin.
Yuji
Stay sharp. This one is strong
The curse lunged. Yuji blocked, Megumi struck, Nobara pinned it—
And then its gaze slid to Arisa.
It screeched, abandoning the fight, hurling itself straight at her.
Nobara
Damn it, it’s after her again.
Arisa panicked. Her energy exploded outward, not in a controlled blast but a violent surge. Black static ripped through the hallway, walls cracking, glass shattering.
The curse was hurled backward, shrieking. But the energy didn’t stop. It kept pouring out of her, a storm spiraling wildly.
Yuji froze, staring. His chest burned. His heartbeat faltered.
Something inside him laughed.
Yuji’s vision blurred. His body stiffened, then his mouth curled into a smile that wasn’t his.
Black markings flared across his face. His eyes snapped open — crimson, slit like a predator’s.
Sukuna.
The King of Curses stretched, inhaling deeply as if savoring the air. His gaze slid lazily across the hallway, then stopped.
Sukuna purred, voice dripping with amusement. “
Sakuna
What do we have here?”
Arisa froze, her blood turning to ice. She knew that voice. She’d heard it on screens, safe in fiction.
But now it was real. Now it was aimed at her.
Sukuna stepped forward in Yuji’s body, markings blazing, his grin sharp enough to cut.
Sakuna
Interesting little thing,”
he murmured, eyes locked on Arisa.
Sakuna
Your power… it reeks of me.
Her knees weakened. She couldn’t breathe.
This wasn’t a show. This wasn’t fiction.
The King of Curses had noticed her. And he wasn’t going to look away.
