LOVING MY CLINICAL INSTRUCTOR
intimidating or captivating
The classroom falls into silence. All eyes are on the man who just entered. He’s tall, broad-shouldered, and his serious face makes the air heavy. He places his papers on the desk and looks at the students one by one.
Liam Shin
(in a firm voice) Good morning. I’m Dr. Liam Shin. I’ll be your clinical instructor for this rotation.
No one dares to speak. Sandy swallows hard, her heart beating faster. Myenia secretly nudges her arm under the desk.
Myenia suerez
(whispering) Bestie… that’s him! The one I told you about.
Sandy
(still staring, whispers back) He’s… really handsome.
Myenia suerez
(smirks) See? I told you!
Dr. Liam scans the room with sharp eyes. When his gaze lands on Sandy, she quickly looks down at her notebook, pretending to write. Myenia bites her lip to stop herself from laughing.
Liam Shin
(serious tone) I expect discipline, respect, and professionalism. Nursing is not just about skills—it’s about attitude. If you think you’re here to play around, you’re wrong.
The students nod nervously. Sandy takes a deep breath, trying to calm herself. She can’t explain why, but something about him makes her nervous in a different way.

🧠: Why does he feel so intimidating… yet so captivating?
