Kim Taehyung didn’t believe in fate. He believed in power, guns, and making sure no one ever dared to cross him. In the underworld, his name wasn’t just feared—it was worshiped. He had never once suffered defeat.

Which is why the book in his hand pissed him off.

The novel had caught his attention purely by coincidence. The synopsis was vague, the cover unremarkable—until he opened the first page and saw the name: Kim Taehyung.

He had been ready to enjoy it, even amused by the idea of reading about a fictional version of himself… until the story began with that character dying. Not even halfway into the first chapter—dead. Brutally, pointlessly.

He didn’t bother reading further. He had better things to do than watch someone with his name die like an idiot. He headed back to work, where people were actually afraid of him.

Night came. The penthouse was quiet except for the hum of the city below. He entered, tossing his jacket onto the couch—and froze when his eyes fell on the book again, sitting innocently on the coffee table.

His mood soured instantly.

Pathetic *he scoffed*

He scoffed, reaching for the glass beside it. He poured water, drank, and leaned back in his chair.

A few minutes later, dizziness washed over him.

The phone rang, his right-hand man’s panicked voice crackling through:

Boss! That Jeon guy attacked our base again—be careful at home!

But Taehyung’s vision blurred, his body collapsing to the floor. His gaze fell on the half-empty glass.

He opened his eyes to the sound of tires screeching.

He was in a car, the wheel jerking wildly beneath his hands. The brakes weren’t responding.

Before he could react, blinding headlights appeared ahead. The crash was deafening. Somewhere through the ringing in his ears, he heard:

“Mr Jeon… I think he’s dead.”

And then, nothing.

The loop continued.

Every time he woke up, it was somewhere new—an alley, a hallway, a meeting room—always ending in death. Gunshot. Explosion. Strangulation. Poison. Drowning.

And each time, without fail, he would hear it before the darkness took him:

“Mr Jeon…”

By the 27th loop, Taehyung’s patience had burned to ash.

Taehyung woke with a jerk as he just died again....

His Face twisted in fury, he spat into the void,
