Thunder echoed above the Golden Court, but inside, the silence was louder.

“No. She’s pretending. She dreams with her eyes open now.”
The candlelight flickered. A page turned. Somewhere far below, something stirred.

“Then we’re running out of time. The blood is waking.”

“She doesn’t even know who she is. If she finds out too soon—”
A door slammed open. Rain clung to her cloak. Her hands were shaking—but her eyes burned.

“If you have something to say, say it in front of me.”

You weren’t meant to hear this yet.”

No one tells me what I’m meant for anymore.”
Lightning flared through the glass dome above. For a moment, the shadows seemed to whisper.
？？？
“The visions… what did you see this time?”
??
“Fire. Wings. A crown burning in someone’s hands.”
They all looked at each other.
？？？
The prophecy is real.”
？？？
And she’s standing in the center of it.”
High above them, the golden throne remained empty.
But not for long.
