Chapter Two: Blood Beneath the Moon

Darkness did not roar. It whispered.

And when the Moon God rose from his thousand-year prison, he did not rise alone.

From the shadows at the base of the ruined moon temple, where starlight bled into the ground, a shape emerged—tall, graceful, dangerous.

Eyes like garnets. Fangs like secrets.

Jung Hoseok. The Vampire Lord. The apprentice of the Moon.

He had waited. Guarded the edge of night. Slept beneath blood-soaked stars with his master’s name etched into his soul.

Now, as the runes of imprisonment shattered in brilliant silver light, he fell to one knee.

Hoseok: “You’ve awakened, my lord.”

Yoongi, still pale from slumber, his eyes silver voids: “I didn’t call you.”

Hoseok: “And yet I came. As I always will.”

Yoongi studied him—elegant in black, his long coat dragging through the lunar dust. Hoseok had not aged. Of course not. Vampires were cursed to linger. But his aura had sharpened—ancient blood and power woven into one steady presence.

Yoongi turned to the sky.

The stars felt... wrong. The Realms, unbalanced. War was building again.

And far beyond the veil, he could feel it—a light rekindled. Soft. Unaware. Human.

Jimin.

---

Meanwhile, in the human realm…

Park Jimin was drowning in confusion.

He sat curled on his apartment floor, hoodie drenched in sweat, heart racing like thunder after another dream.

No—memory.

A palace made of sunstone.

A blade of obsidian piercing his chest.

A scream that echoed through galaxies.

He clutched at his chest like something was still burning inside. He didn’t know why. But every time he closed his eyes now, he saw two things:

A moon.

And a man with silver eyes, whispering, “You left me.”

---

Back in the Moon Temple ruins, Yoongi sat upon the broken marble throne. Hoseok stood silently nearby, watching the gods’ slow breath return.

Hoseok: “He’s been reborn.”

Yoongi: “I know.”

Hoseok: “Do you hate him?”

Yoongi’s fingers curled around the armrest. “I should.”

He remembered it all—how Jimin hadn’t stopped the Lightborne armies. How his silence felt like betrayal. How Yoongi had screamed as the chains of light burned into his skin.

But now…

Now Jimin was just a boy.

Human.

Fragile.

Yoongi: “He doesn’t remember.”

Hoseok: “You’re going to him, aren’t you?”

Yoongi didn’t answer.

---

That night, in the human realm, Jimin stepped outside to breathe. The city lights shimmered, but they felt hollow. Something in the air buzzed—like the world was waiting to collapse.

Then he felt it.

A shift in the wind.

And when he turned—

A man stood at the edge of the rooftop across from him. Pale, beautiful, watching with unreadable eyes.

Behind him, leaning casually on the railing with a smirk too sharp to be human—

Jung Hoseok, dressed in black, eyes glinting crimson.

Hoseok: “Cute view, Master.”

Yoongi: “Don’t call me that here.”

Hoseok: “What, afraid your little sunbeam will remember you?”

Jimin blinked. Their figures blurred slightly in the streetlight. Like the shadows bent around them.

Jimin (whispers): “...You again.”

Yoongi finally spoke, soft as the moonrise: “You’re not ready to remember. But soon… the realms will make you choose.”

Jimin: “Choose what?”

Hoseok (grinning): “Whether to burn… or to save us all.”

And just like that, they vanished.
