He brought her home like a possession . She refused to act like one.

The mattress was too soft. The air too cold. The silence… unfamiliar.

Serene's eyes fluttered open, panic rushing through her before consciousness even caught up

This wasn’t her room

Silk sheets, Marble floors, Curtains like shadows .

Everything smelled expensive and Dangerous

Not home .

Not Safe

She sat up in a rush, heart racing, bruised wrist trembling against the heavy golden quilt.

The last thing she remembered was the bar, The man , His eyes

And then----

Ah, Dove finally wakes up

His voice Smooth , Quiet yet Terrifying

Her breath caught in her throat as her eyes darted toward the door

There he stood. Aeron Knight. Towering. Sharp. Dressed in obsidian. A man carved from midnight and menace

He stepped inside, shutting the door behind him with a soft, definitive click.

You have a habit of wandering into places you don’t belong, little songbird *said walking closer—slow, calculated

Serene stood quickly, backing toward the farthest wall

Her fingers curled around the edge of a lamp, but her hands were trembling

She opened her mouth—no sound. She pressed her palms together in pleading, shaking her head, mouthing the only thing she could say

Serene moved around the bed, trying to create space, but Aeron caught her by the wrist again—the same bruised one

His fingers moved to the side of her neck, brushing a loose strand of hair back, his thumb lingering on her skin

Serene’s chest heaved, eyes wide, terrified. But her hands rose and shoved him.

It wasn’t strong. It wasn’t enough to move him. But it was loud in its message.

Ah… even mute, you still know how to scream, don’t you? *chuckled darkly*

He reached out again—this time slower, fingers brushing her collarbone.

And that’s when she slapped him.

But loud . Precise .Defiant

A moment of frozen silence passed between them.

He didn’t speak. Didn’t blink. His jaw tightened. And then… he smiled

Not in amusement. But like a wolf who just realized the rabbit has fangs

She squeezed her eyes shut, trembling—but not moving

She didn’t scream. She didn’t cry. She simply refused to surrender

He stepped back, slowly
