*She smiled when she saw it. I saw her from across the street.*

*That little smile she does when she’s not trying to smile.*

*Like the flower made her day a bit better. Maybe it did.*

*She thinks it’s from Dylan.*

*And maybe that’s okay.*

*She talks about him a lot lately.*

*Says he’s sweet. Funny. Smart. Says he makes her feel special.*

*I wonder if she ever notices how quiet I get when she says his name.*

Noah

*But then she laughs, and I forget about everything else.*

*I’d rather see her happy from a distance than risk losing her completely.*

*So I’ll keep leaving the tulips.*

*She doesn’t have to know they’re from me.*
