Meher turned — casually at first — and her breath caught.

It was only a second.

But when his eyes met hers, the music seemed to fade.

She looked away quickly, confused by the strange heaviness in her chest.

(pulling Meher's arm) “Chal, tujhe bhai se milvati hoon!” (Come, I’ll introduce you to my brother!)

(nervous) “Nahi yaar… baad mein. Mujhe thoda awkward lag raha hai.” (Maybe later... I feel a bit awkward.)

(laughing) “Tu bhi na. Theek hai, bhaag le abhi ke liye.” (You’re too much. Fine, go hide for now.

Aarav’s POV – From Across the Lawn

He watched her walk away from a distance

(to himself) "Woh bhaagi… par mujhe dekh kar ruk gayi thi. Nazar se bach gayi, lekin nazar mein bas gayi." (She walked away… but paused when she saw me. Escaped my sight, but settled into it.)

He didn’t smile.

But he remembered her

Too well

Late Evening – Party Ends Guests began to leave. Laughter turned into soft goodbyes. Anika and Meher hugged near the gates.

“Raat yahin ruk jaa. Kal proper gupshup karenge.” (Stay the night. We’ll catch up properly tomorrow.)

“Kal subah class hai yaar. Lekin promise, weekend pe pakka rukungi.” (Got class tomorrow. But promise — I’ll stay over this weekend.)

(dramatic sigh) “Fine. Main emotional damage leke zinda rahungi.” (Fine. I’ll survive with emotional damage.)

They both giggled

From his bedroom balcony, Aarav watched them hug. His eyes didn’t blink.
