Reborn In My Favourite Comic (TaeKook)
Chapter 1: Tense and Relentless
The alleyway reeked of damp concrete and blood. The dim light flickered overhead, casting long shadows as Victor stood his ground. The five armed men surrounding him moved in, their weapons gleaming under the flickering light.
Victor (assassin)
This is it. I’m trapped. No way out.
The sound of footsteps closing in sent a shiver down his spine. He could hear their steady breathing, their fingers tightening around their weapons. But his mind remained steady—calculating, always calculating.
Victor (assassin)
There’s a way out. There’s always a way.
With a swift pivot, he lunged forward, catching the nearest opponent off guard. A blade sliced through flesh, a gasp, and then silence. But no time to think—another attacker swung at him. He ducked, countered, and drove his knee into the enemy’s gut before twisting his arm unnaturally. A snap. Another down.
enemy 1
“Did you really think you could take us all down, Victor?”
Victor (assassin)
“I’m not taking you all down. I’m just buying myself time.”
Blades clashed. Sparks flew. Victor weaved through attacks like a ghost, his movements seamless. But fatigue was creeping in, slowing him. His breath came in sharp bursts, his body protesting every strike, every dodge.
Three left.
Then two.
Then one.
Victor exhaled heavily, adjusting his stance, his muscles screaming for relief. But before he could react, pain erupted in his leg. A sharp, searing agony. He stumbled, and the world tilted.
enemy 5
“Game over, Victor.”
Victor barely saw the next attack coming. A blade buried deep into his side. His breath hitched. His knees buckled. He collapsed, his hands instinctively pressing against the gushing wound. Warm blood seeped through his fingers, painting the ground beneath him.
His vision blurred. The world around him faded—sounds became distant, colors muted. He could still hear his heartbeat, faint and unsteady, like a dying drum.
Victor (assassin)
It’s over.
Memories flickered in his mind—training in the dark, missions gone wrong, the fleeting warmth of a life that never felt real. Was this all he was meant for? A violent end in a nameless alley?
His body sagged against the cold pavement, breath shallow. The enemies stood over him, but their faces no longer mattered. Their voices became muffled, mere echoes in the distance.
Darkness swallowed him whole.
