It was almost time for the festival to start....so Xue Zhaoyan got ready to head out....right after getting out of his room Xue Zhaoyan saw someone coming towards....
Su Qingyu
Mr.Xue....you're ready.... I'm here to get you.... let's go.... the festival will start at any moment now *said while smiling*

I was just thinking of when you will come to pick us up....shall we go then? *asked while smiling*

Yes...but where is your brother?
Su Qingyu asked being a bit curious...

He said he wants to explore the festival himself, so I let him wander off....

They both started to walk towards the festival gate while talking and laughing to themselves....
As they went inside the gate of the festival....Xue Zhaoyan became amazed by their beautiful arrangements....
The place was full of different kinds of shops....at a place some skilled street performers were performing....on the other side some dancers were dancing....the whole festival was full of life which created a lively atmosphere....They were looking around the place when they heard someone's voice.....

Brother *shouted a little while smiling*
Xue Zhaoyan noticed his brother coming towards them from a distance.... He also noticed Han Lingxiao with him and got a bit curious....

Didn't you say that you want to explore the festival alone?... Then what are you doing with him? *asked curiously*

I was alone then he joined me out of nowhere and started tagging along*said while rolling his eyes*

Both Xue Zhaoyan and Su Qingyu got taken aback by this sudden question...

It's true.... in the original story, the ML didn't like any kind of crowded places....but still the ML and MC got to know each other better in a crowded place which is this festival....it was really unpredictable what was going on inside that author's mind....
Hearing Zeyuan's words Su Qingyu got a bit worried and said...

Mr.Xue if you don't like being in this kind of crowded place then we can find some place which is less crowded....

No... it's fine....I can just-
Before he could continue....Su Qingyu interrupted him and said...

Su Qingyu turned towards Xue Zeyuan and Han Lingxiao and said....

(This is the time for them to spend some time together in a quiet place.... let's not disturb them... also I cannot let that snake join them....or else things will become like they were before...)
After saying all this stuff to himself Xue Zeyuan smiled towards Su Qingyu and said....

You can call me by my name Mr.Su after all you're older than me..... and in this way it will feel as if we have known each other for a long time now *said smiling*

And also you both can go....I like it here.... I'll say at the festival *smile*

*chuckled and said* okay then Xue Zeyuan you don't have to join us....then how about Mr. Han?
Han Lingxiao was about to answer when Xue Zeyuan answered for him....

He'll also stay here....you both go and enjoy yourselves....
Hearing his answer Han Lingxiao looked at him with a little curve of smirk on his face....

They both nodded and went their way....

After hearing his words Han Lingxiao Chuckled and started walking quietly beside Zeyuan....after sometime He opened his mouth again and asked....

Xue Zeyuan got a bit taken aback by his question and started thinking about how to answer it....

(Oh no....I never thought he'd ask this kind of question but after noticing my behavior everyone would be curious to know why I'm behaving like this towards them.... it's not like I can tell him directly that 'you're the villain of the story that's why I don't like you'...also I don't know what his relationship was like with the original Xue Zeyuan because the author never mentioned anything....sh*t what should I say?)
While thinking about all of this Xue Zeyuan's face looked a bit concerned which Han Lingxiao noticed and said....

I know that, whenever we meet I just keep teasing you, and you get angry....but last time you straight up said that you don't know me.....so it got me thinking what were you cooking up inside that little brain of yours?
With each and every word Zeyuan was feeling nervous because he didn't know how to answer him....but by the time Lingxiao finished talking then Zeyuan came to understand that He was still teasing him....
Xue Zeyuan again got pissed and said....

You see this is why I get angry at you.... you're always picking at me....why do you always do that?What do you get from doing this?*asked being pissed*
Han Lingxiao laughed and said....

Nothing....I just like teasing you because it's fun *chuckled*
By hearing his answer Xue Zeyuan rolled his eyes and walked off on his own....

Hey.... where are you going?... let's go together....
Xue Zeyuan stopped walking and turned around to look at him.... Lingxiao also walked a bit faster and stood in front of him...

No.... you go your way I'll go mine....*said sulking*

But we didn't agree on that....in exchange for a meat bun you said you'll spend your evening with me....this is not fair....

Saying that Xue Zeyuan started walking faster....and Lingxiao also increased his pace....
Even though Xue Zeyuan said that he doesn't want him around but when Lingxiao followed him again and again even after hearing an earful he stopped arguing with him and they spent the evening pretty much together....
