Episode 3: WAEC Results Are Out!

It had been months since Amara and her classmates wrote their WAEC exams, and the anticipation was at its peak. Everyone was waiting anxiously for the results to be released.

One evening, as Amara was reading a business article on her phone, her best friend Deborah called her, screaming with excitement.

"Amara! WAEC results are out!"

Amara’s heart skipped a beat. "Are you serious?"

"Yes! Check yours now!"

With shaky hands, Amara quickly opened the WAEC result-checking portal on her phone. She entered her Examination Number, PIN, and Year, then tapped ‘Check Result’.

The screen loaded for a few seconds, and then… her results appeared.

Deborah laughed. "I told you, Amara! You worked hard for this!"

"What about yours?" Amara asked.

Deborah quickly checked hers. "I passed too! I got A1 in English and B2 in Maths!"

They both screamed with joy.

The next day at school, the entire SS3 class was buzzing with discussions about their results. Some students were celebrating, while a few looked sad.

Their class teacher, Mr. Benson, walked in with a smile. "Congratulations to all of you! You’ve made us proud. Now, it’s time to focus on JAMB!"

Amara took a deep breath. One challenge was over, but another one was coming. She was ready.

Episode 4: Preparing for JAMB

It had been a few weeks since the WAEC results were released, and students at Brightfield High School were now focused on their next big challenge—JAMB (Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board) exams.

Amara sat in her usual seat in class, flipping through her JAMB past questions booklet. Her dream of becoming a businesswoman was getting closer, but she needed to pass JAMB with a high score to get into her desired university.

Beside her, Deborah sighed. "Amara, I'm tired! We’ve been studying every day."

Amara laughed. "If we want to pass, we have no choice!"

Their class teacher, Mr. Benson, entered and made an announcement.

"Students, we will be conducting a JAMB Mock Exam next week to test your readiness. The subjects will be based on your UTME subject combination."

A wave of murmurs spread across the classroom. Some students looked excited, while others groaned in frustration.

Choosing UTME Subjects

During break time, Amara and Deborah sat under a tree, discussing their JAMB subject combination.

"I’m picking English, Mathematics, Economics, and Marketing," Amara said. "Those are important for Business Administration."

Deborah nodded. "Mine will be English, Government, Literature, and CRS because I want to study Law."

Their friend, James, who was good at Science, joined the conversation. "I’m choosing English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology for Medicine."

Everyone had different goals, but they all knew that JAMB would be tough.

JAMB Mock Exam Day

The Mock Exam day finally arrived. The school hall was set up just like the real JAMB exam, with computer systems arranged in rows.

Amara sat in front of her computer, waiting for the CBT (Computer-Based Test) to start. The invigilator gave instructions:

**"You have 2 hours to answer 180 questions:

English: 60 questions

Other subjects: 40 questions each

Good luck!"**

As the timer started, Amara quickly went to work.

With just a few weeks left, Amara knew she had to give it her all. Her future depended on it.
