Episode 5: JAMB Day – The Ultimate Test
The day had finally arrived—JAMB Exam Day. After months of studying, sleepless nights, and mock exams, it was time for Amara and Deborah to prove themselves.
Amara woke up at 5:00 AM, feeling nervous but determined. She quickly dressed in a simple blue top and black jeans, packed her JAMB registration slip, and checked her exam center location again.
Her father dropped her off at Brightfield CBT Center at 6:30 AM, where she met Deborah and other students waiting outside.
"Are you ready?" Deborah asked, biting her nails.
Amara took a deep breath. "I have no choice but to be ready."
Entering the CBT Hall
At 7:00 AM, a JAMB official stepped outside with a megaphone.
"All candidates, line up for biometric verification! Have your registration slip ready!"
One by one, students placed their fingers on the fingerprint scanner for verification. When it was Amara’s turn, she felt her heartbeat increase, but the machine scanned her successfully.
Inside the hall, there were over 100 computers, each assigned to a candidate. Amara found her seat, adjusted her mouse, and waited for the instructions.
"You have 2 hours to answer 180 questions," the invigilator announced. "Your time starts now!"
A countdown timer appeared on her screen. 120:00… 119:59…
