The smell of fresh books and ink lingered in the library as Nobita sat in the corner, trying his best to focus on his studies. The soft ticking of the clock reminded him of how little time he had left before the upcoming exams.

“Nobita, are you alright?” A smooth, deep voice broke the silence.

He looked up, finding Dekisugi standing beside him. His golden-brown eyes, sharp yet kind, were watching him with a warmth Nobita didn’t quite understand.

“I’m fine,” Nobita mumbled, lowering his gaze.

He wasn’t fine. His body had been acting strange lately. The warmth spreading from his core, the way his heart raced every time Dekisugi was near—it was unnatural.

“Nobita,” Dekisugi said, his voice softer this time. “You smell... different.”

Panic flared in Nobita’s chest. Was this—was this what he feared? No. He had to get out of here before—

“Are you going into heat?” Dekisugi whispered, his voice husky.

Nobita froze.

Before he could react, the door to the library slammed open, revealing a familiar figure—Shizuka. Her eyes immediately locked onto Nobita, and her scent, strong and overpowering, flooded the air.

“Stay away from him, Dekisugi,” she warned.
