The Aftermath – A New Beginning
The video spreads like wildfire.
Jihoon gets called to the principal’s office. His reputation? Ruined.
Jisung should feel relieved.
And he does. But more than that—he feels free.
That night, the group gathers at their dorm again.
This time, they’re not planning a strategy. They’re just… celebrating.
Jisung laughs as Felix throws popcorn at I.N.
Lee Know
Minho nudges him. “You good?”
Han Jisung
“Yeah. I think I am.”
Minho doesn’t know when it started.
Maybe it was the way Jisung always pouted when he lost an argument.
Maybe it was the way his eyes lit up when he laughed.
Or maybe—just maybe—it was the way Minho’s heart kept skipping a beat every time Jisung looked at him.
Whatever it was, it hit him like a truck one afternoon.
They were at lunch, the usual chaos unfolding—Felix stealing Hyunjin’s fries, Seungmin roasting I.N, Chan trying to maintain order (and failing).
Not just a normal laugh. A full, head-thrown-back, scrunch-nosed, ridiculous-sounding laugh.
Minho just… stared.
It was stupid. He had seen Jisung laugh a million times before.
But for some reason, this time was different.
This time, his heart ached.
Minho’s first instinct? Ignore it.
He wasn’t falling for Han Jisung. That would be ridiculous.
So, he did what he always did—acted normal.
Which meant:
Bullying Jisung more than usual.
Pretending his heart didn’t race when Jisung leaned in too close.
Avoiding eye contact whenever Jisung smiled too brightly.
Han Jisung
“Why are you being weird?” Jisung asked one day, squinting at him.
Lee Know
Minho scoffed. “I’m not.”
Han Jisung
Jisung poked his cheek. “Liar.”
Lee Know
Minho smacked his hand away, face burning. “Shut up.”
Jisung just laughed, completely unaware of how Minho’s heart was about to explode.
Everything went downhill when they got paired up for a dance performance in PE. One slow song. One stupid slow song. Minho tried to act unaffected as his hand slid around Jisung’s waist. Jisung, of course, was completely oblivious.
Han Jisung
“Why are your hands shaking?” Jisung teased.
Lee Know
Minho rolled his eyes. “Maybe because I’m holding an actual gremlin.”
Han Jisung
Jisung gasped. “Rude! I have the grace of a swan.”
Lee Know
Minho snorted. “A swan that trips over air.”
But even as they bickered, Minho couldn’t ignore the way Jisung’s body fit perfectly against his.
Or how, for the first time in his life—he never wanted the song to end.
One night, after a long study session, Jisung fell asleep on Minho’s shoulder.
And Minho stopped breathing.
Jisung’s head was warm. Soft. His quiet breathing sent shivers down Minho’s spine.
This was the moment Minho realized—he was completely, utterly screwed.
Because he didn’t just like Jisung. He was in love with him. And worst of all? Jisung had no idea.
The Dance Competition Announcement
The school auditorium buzzes with excitement. Students whisper among themselves, wondering who will be chosen this year.
On stage, Principal Choi Taesung steps up to the mic, adjusting the mic. The murmurs die down instantly.
Mr. Choi Taesung
“This year’s Haneul Academy Dance Competition will be special,” he announces. “We are selecting a team to represent our school.”
Jisung, sitting in the crowd, raises an eyebrow. He wasn’t expecting this.
Mr. Choi Taesung
“The team will be in charge of both choreography and music composition,” the principal continues. “The chosen members are…”
Mr. Choi Taesung
“Bang Chan, Lee Minho, Seo Changbin, Hwang Hyunjin, Han Jisung, Lee Felix, Kim Seungmin, and Yang Jeongin.”
The auditorium erupts into cheers.
Han Jisung
Jisung blinks. “Wait… what?”
Hyunjin
Hyunjin grins, nudging his shoulder. “Congrats, producer-nim
Han Jisung
Jisung groans. “Why am I in this?”
Lee Know
Minho smirks. “Because you’re the only one crazy enough to make a song in time.”
Felix
Felix throws an arm around Jisung. “We believe in you, mate!”
Han Jisung
Jisung whispers. “That makes one of us.”
Mr. Choi Taesung
Principal Kang continues, “Lee Minho will be leading choreography. Han Jisung will be in charge of composing the song. I expect great things from this team.”
Minho nods confidently. Jisung, meanwhile, looks like he wants to run.
The dance studio is already a mess.
Seungmin
“Hyunjin, stop being dramatic!” Seungmin shouts.
Hyunjin
“I am NOT dramatic!” Hyunjin argues while lying on the floor dramatically.
I.N
“Changbin, stop flexing!” I.N complains.
Changbin
“I’m not flexing, this is just my natural state!” Changbin grins.
Han Jisung
Jisung sits in the corner, laptop open, head in his hands. “We are so doomed.”
Lee Know
Minho claps his hands. “Alright, listen up.”
Surprisingly, everyone falls silent.
Lee Know
Minho’s voice is firm, confident. “We’re going to make this work. Jisung, focus on the song. I’ll handle the dance. Got it?”
Jisung looks up at him. For once, Minho isn’t teasing. He’s serious.
Han Jisung
Jisung nods. “…Got it.”
Lee Know
Minho smirks. “Good. Now, let’s make this performance legendary.”
And just like that—the real challenge begins.
