Jisung hates PE. It’s not that he’s bad at it—he’s actually decent when he tries. But today, with zero sleep and a lingering sense of dread, he just wants to get through class without passing out.
Unfortunately, Mr. Park Hyunwoo has other plans.
Mr. Park Hyunwoo
“Alright, everyone! We’re doing partner exercises today. And guess what? I’m picking the pairs!”
Jisung already knows what’s coming before the teacher even speaks
Mr. Park Hyunwoo
“Lee Minho and Han Jisung! You’re together.”
Lee Know
Minho smirks. “Of course we are.”
Han Jisung
Jisung groans. “Of course we are.”
The class moves to the indoor gym, where Mr. Park claps his hands together
Mr. Park Hyunwoo
“We’re starting with trust exercises! You’re going to be catching your partner when they fall. Great teamwork activity, right?”
Han Jisung
“I suddenly feel very unsafe.”
Lee Know
Minho rolls his eyes. “If I wanted to drop you, I’d do it in a more creative way.”
Han Jisung
Jisung squints. “That’s not comforting.”
Still, he takes his place in front of Minho, inhaling sharply before letting himself fall backward
And of course—Minho catches him effortlessly.
Lee Know
“See? I didn’t drop you.”
Han Jisung
“Yet.”
The drill continues, with Minho catching him every single time. Until—
Jisung's phone buzzes.
His heart stops.
The distraction is just enough to throw him off. His mind races, and suddenly, his balance is off. His breath hitches.
And then— He falls.
But this time, Minho barely catches him.
They land in an awkward heap on the gym floor, and Jisung barely registers Minho snapping at him.
Lee Know
“What the hell was that?”
Han Jisung
Jisung blinks, dazed. His hands are clammy. His breathing is uneven.
Han Jisung
Jihoon’s words replay in his head.
"You don’t look happy these days. Why?"
Lee Know
Minho’s grip tightens on his shoulders, forcing Jisung to focus. “Hey. Look at me. What’s wrong?”
Han Jisung
Jisung swallows hard, shaking his head. “Nothing. I’m just tired.”
