The moment PE ends, Jisung makes a beeline for the locker room, but he barely gets his bag before Minho grabs his wrist.

“You’re not running away.”

Han Jisung

Jisung tenses. “I’m not running.”

Lee Know

“Really? Because you literally sprinted out of there.”

Han Jisung

Jisung sighs, yanking his wrist free. “Can you just drop it? I told you—I’m just tired.”

Lee Know

Minho crosses his arms, eyes sharp. “No, you’re not. You freaked out in the middle of class. You don’t just ‘trip’ like that, Han.”

Han Jisung

Jisung forces a laugh. “Wow, didn’t know you were my personal detective now.”

Lee Know

Minho doesn’t smile. “If something’s wrong, tell me.”

Han Jisung

For a second, Jisung hesitates.

For a second, he almost tells him about the messages. About Jihoon. About the way his mind won’t stop spiraling.

But then his phone buzzes again.

He flinches. Minho notices.

Before Jisung can stop him, Minho grabs the phone from his pocket.

Lee Know

“Who keeps texting you?”

Han Jisung

“Minho, give it back.” His voice cracks.

Minho glances at the screen. His entire expression shifts.

The latest message is right there.

....

💬 Why are you ignoring me, Jisungie? That’s not very nice.

A cold silence falls between them.

Minho looks at Jisung. Really looks at him. At the way his hands shake. At the way his breathing has gone shallow again.

Lee Know

“Who the hell is this?”

Han Jisung

Jisung snatches the phone back, stuffing it into his bag. “No one.”

Lee Know

“Bullshit.”

Han Jisung

Jisung doesn’t answer.

Lee Know

Minho clenches his jaw. “Han.”

Han Jisung

Jisung shakes his head. “It’s just… someone from my past.”

Lee Know

Minho’s eyes darken. “Someone?”

Han Jisung

Jisung exhales shakily, refusing to meet his gaze. “Please, Minho. Just drop it.”

Minho stares at him for a long moment.

And then—he doesn’t

Lee Know

“No.”

Han Jisung

Jisung’s eyes snap to him, startled. “What?”

Lee Know

“I’m not dropping it.”

Han Jisung

Jisung swallows hard. “Minho—”

Lee Know

“If this guy is messing with you, you’re not dealing with it alone.”

Jisung opens his mouth to protest, but Minho isn’t budging.

For once—Minho looks dead serious.

And for the first time in a long while…

Jisung doesn’t feel as alone.




