*Softly* I don’t know what I’d do without you, Ava.
She smiles back, tilting her head. The words sound so sweet—so empty.
Across the room, Emily waves, joining them with a bright laugh. Ava watches as her two favorite people exchange a look. A silent, stolen glance. One they think she doesn’t notice.
Scene Shift: A Dorm Room – Dimly Lit
A cake sits on a small table, its frosting perfectly smooth, a delicate ribbon wrapped around the box. A note attached reads:
Daniel and Emily share a grin before taking a bite. Seconds later, their faces twist in horror. Their bodies slump to the floor, eyes frozen in terror.

Detective Leo Cross examines the room. A small slip of paper inside the cake box catches his eye.

His jaw tightens. Something about these feels… personal.

Ava steps into the shadows, her coat billowing behind her. The streetlights flicker as she disappears into the night.
Scene Shift: One Year Later – A Small Town
A bakery door swings open. A fresh, sweet aroma fills the air. A sign above the counter reads:
"Eternal Bites – Now Open."
Behind the counter, a woman with a familiar smile arranges cupcakes. Her delicate hands tie a ribbon around a cake box.

The woman chuckles, eyes gleaming.
