Presley only realized he fell asleep, when he felt a pat on his shoulder.
"It's about time, you came back, I was really starting to get bored to--"
Presley stopped when he realized it wasn't Charlotte but a man.
"Mind if I take the seat next to you? I could treat you to some drinks." He asked politely.
"thanks for the offer, but I'm not here alone, I'm with a friend. and She'd probably kill me, If I take anymore shots."
"Oh, Well she's not here right now." He took his seat next to me. "It could be our little secr--"
"Excuse me"
A cold familiar voice interrupted him from behind Presley.
"....?" Presley turned around.
"Kyle?" He blurted, looking confused. He looked really different from how Formal he looked at the company. The casual wear made him seem younger than his age.
"Oh, you know him?" The man asked.
"Yes, we know each other." Mr. Kyle replied.
"No, we've only met twice, please can you give me a moment?"
"Sure, I'll be right over there, If you need me." The man excused them, and Presley turned to Kyle with a questionable look.
"What the fuvk do you think you're doing?"
"I should be asking you that?why are you out this late and drunk at that?" He replied"Don't you know you should be careful around places like this, It was so obvious that man had ulterior motives, aren't you a bit self conscious?"
"......." Presley looks at Kyle blankly, then he stands up and walks over to where the man was.
"Hey, what are you--" Kyle sighs.
...****************...
KYLE'S POINT OF VIEW:
Sometimes I don't understand why I even bother. I didn't anticipate I'd run into him here, at a bar. I silently watched Mr. Orson go back to the man I tried to 'save' him from earlier. I really can't understand what goes on in young people's minds these days.
"Heh~ Maybe, I'm really old-fashioned" I muttered to myself as I sipped my drink as I watched them. It really isn't like me to stick my nose into others business, I almost lost interest because I couldn't hear their conversation from where I was, but it seemed like they were flirting with each other.....at least that's what I thought until Presley said something that made the man's expression to turn pale.
"....?"
Next thing, the man stood up and greeted Presley for the last time with a kind but awkward smile, before leaving.
As if nothing had happened, Presley returned back to his original seat at the counter, right next to me, ignoring me completely.
"What the hell was that?" I asked.
"What?..."
"I mean what did you say to him?"
"Nothing, ....I just told him, I'm a man."
"........." ......I was speechless.
"Worked like a charm." Presley smiles , but it didn’t reach his eyes.
"This isn't the first time, I've been in this kind of situation. I don't usually bother about things like that, cause I know, that the moment, I tell him I'm also a man, he would look at me differently."
The Presley I was looking at seemed very different from the one I saw at the office. He seemed different. Less guarded.
"I thought you didn’t care about that kind of thing," I said after a moment.
"Just because I don’t act like it doesn’t mean that’s the case." His voice was quiet, almost lost under the hum of the bar. "It does bother me. Not always, but… at some point."
Without warning, he leaned against my shoulder, eyes drifting shut.
I stiffened.
And then, for some reason, I didn’t push him away.
Instead, I just sat there, quietly watching him sleep.
