CHAPTER 2 - Original story 1

It starts drizzling at 3 a.m. in the morning, around the time Riley left the company building in devastation.

"Why do you have to be difficult?!" Mr. Wilson bawled in anger.

"Do you enjoy, putting me through this, what exactly do you want from me, Fine then, if you want to leave so badly, do it just bear it in mind that you'd come to regret it. Don't come crawling to me when it's too late."

On recalling his ex-boss's words, more tears build up in eyes. He walked silently in the rain without an umbrella, completely numb to his surroundings. His eyes sight was blurred with the tears in his eyes. Gradually his steps became faster and faster, eventually he started running. He ran so fast without looking back, his feet were splashing the water on the floors, He tripped and fell on the floor completely drenched by the rain, there were beams of car lights everywhere and honking sounds from different directions, Riley dragged his feet across the road, where he got hit by the beam of light approach fast behind him. Before he could react, His body was ran over by a truck and he jerked back a few meters away from the truck, bleeding profusely on the head. and Lying lifelessly in front of the truck.

The Driver on the truck, Panicked when he realized he had hit a pedestrian. He stops the truck and got down from it. He was about to check the body when Riley abruptly opened his eyes, the driver froze with shock.

Not only did Riley rise up, he didn't show any sigh of pain or struggle despite bleeding, He just looks around the area, like he was inspecting his surroundings, He spots the driver and waved over to him.

"Hey there, there's somewhere I need to be, so if you don't mind, can you give me a lift?" Riley smiles with blood stains on his teeth.

"Z-Z--ZOMBIE!!!!" the man screams in terror, running straight back to the truck. He hopped on his seat and starts the gear like his life depended on it. He stepped on the brakes and sped off leaving Riley in the dust , before he could say another word.

"........ Zombie?"

'Hmph!!.... rude.' He pouted.

'Is the body I'm present in that ugly?'

A chime could be heard from his pocket, Riley picked up his cellphone was and a male computer-generated voice Came afterwards.

SYSTEM: «Congratulations, you have successfully arrived at your destination....»

"Oh yeah, .... thanks for sharing the obvious. Now can you explain what I'm supposed to be doing here, .....Von?"

On hearing his name, a short avatar appears on the phones screen.

VON: «The details concerning your mission will be explained to you later, right now, we have a bigger problem.»

"What problem?"

«I can't believe you haven't noticed»

Suddenly Riley froze on seeing blood.

"WHAT TH--....How did this happened?"

«The host body, you're presently in ,is that of Man who goes by the name Riley Stevens, apparently he just got himself hit by a truck, and died.Your Health stats is reducing by -2 every milli second, rather than -5 thanks to my supplementary aid, you should be able to get through it without feeling pain either.»

«But there's still need to get yourself treated, We were Lucky, this happened around this time, if this happened in the daytime, it would've been trouble for us.»

«Follow my directions, let's get you somewhere safe to get treated, before someone else sees you, and gives a report about some walking corpse or call the cops.»

He nods and follows Von's instruction.

MC's POINT OF VIEW

30 minutes later I arrived at the Host's (Riley) apartment building, Luckily Riley didn't live far away from work. I took out my phone where Riley's room number was displayed.

While taking the Elevator, I came across a woman, probably a neighbor, who was leaving for her morning shift. She was looking at me like I'm some kind of serial killer who just finished his job. I didn't blame her I was still covered in blood. I just smiled awkwardly to live through that uncomfortable silence in the lift. As soon as I got out of the lift , Von took care of the apartment passcode and we managed to get in.

Few minutes later.....

«Your Health stats have reached it's maximum.»

I sighed in relief, laying on the bathtub as my wounds heal, my bloodied clothes were already disposed, I took my time to rest a little.

Just three days ago, I was living a normal life, If anyone had told me I would die within the next three days, I would've never believe it. I was so close to bagging a wealth that I could've never dreamed of.....

(THREE DAYS AGO:)

 Don't get me wrong, I'm actually a transgender.

"Where are you off to so early?" A man called from the bed. He had no clothes underneath the sheets as he crawled out bed and hugs me from behind.

"It's amazing how good your stamina is after everything last night." He added as he licked my neck.

(ok... I admit it my old 'Normal' life wasn't so normal but I still wanted it back, because.....)

"Gotta go, I've got some business to attend to,.... Goodbye, Trente" I lightly kissed the sleepyhead before I dragged my handbag and left his apartment.

"Trente?....My name's Michael " He added with confused look.

"May I remind you all that I and My Husband, build this company together, There's no way I'm going to watch it being snatched away by some filthy sl#t!!!"
