Party
Taehyung stood up a second later but the other was already gone before he could stop him.
He calls out a second too late as the doors of the library shut.
The other people inside the library shush him and so he bows to them to apologize and walk towards his table where he had his computer and other books.
One thing to know about was Jungkook’s reserve. Quiet and doesn’t really venture out of his comfort and circle.
He’s an introvert, rather likes to keep to himself than make new friends.
He finds making friends not truly a ‘need’.
He only had one friend and he’s okay with that.
It’s hard for him to trust— after a traumatic upbringing and how life just never gave him any happiness,
He feels more better alone. He only can trust himself.
Jimin is the only friend he has though, met when they were 16 and never been separated since.
He didn’t turn out to be like the others who were in his life and then threw him away like he was nothing
He loves Jungkook and actually means it.
Jungkook doesn’t think about this Taehyung again. Wanted to avoid him if anything.
This was why he starts to just work in his dorm room where Jimin is loud instead of the library fearing he might see the man again.
And it’s when Jimin drags him—
Not quite literally because his best friend isn’t cruel—
To this house party one Friday night after an excruciating week of higher education torment called finals—
Which the slightly older one deemed only right to go out and let loose, that Jungkook meets him again.
A can of Mikes Raspberry lemonade in his hand and the other inside his brown slack,
Leaning against a wall just talking to some people,
And Jungkook, he was in the other’s line of vision once the door had closed with a thud.
Because Jimin loves attention, he walks in with **Im here bitches**;
And Jungkook is the opposite, he looks down when all those eyes are on them, everyone calls out for his best friend.
But when he looks up, their eyes meet for a third time. Taehyung—who then stops his movements to look at him, smiles.
