Beneath The Rajvanshi Crown Chapter 12

Morning at the Farmhouse The golden rays of the early morning sun stream through the windows. Rudra, dressed casually in a fitted brown shirt and white pants.

Mechanic

(wiping his hands) It's all fixed now Rana Sa. The engine won't trouble you anymore.

ML:-Rudra Rajvanshi

(nodding, handing over payment) Good. Thank you.

Rudra steps back into the cozy farmhouse after ensuring the jeep is repaired. The soft clinking of cups fills the air as he prepares tea in the quiet kitchen. Then, he hears soft footsteps descending the stairs.

He turns, and his breath catches in his throat. Ishani appears, dressed in a simple yet elegant blue kurti, her loosely tied hair swaying gently. The morning light casts a delicate glow on her face, making her look ethereal.

Rudra feels his chest tighten, his usually steady heartbeat suddenly out of rhythm.

(in his heart, stunned) Why does she look so... angelic? That blue kurti... it's as if she's walked straight out of a dream. What's happening to me?

His gaze lingers as she walks toward him, her steps light and graceful. For a moment, the world around him seems to fade, and all he can see is her.

Ishani notices his gaze and offers him a polite smile, snapping Rudra out of his trance. He quickly collects himself, forcing his usual composure back.

FL Ishani Maheshwari

(smiling politely) Good morning, Rana Sa.

ML:-Rudra Rajvanshi

Turning, holding two cups of tea) Good morning, Dr. Maheshwari. Did you sleep well?

FL Ishani Maheshwari

(nodding, stretching slightly) Surprisingly well... I thought the storm might keep me awake, but the room was so comfortable.

ML:-Rudra Rajvanshi

(gesturing to the table) I had tea ready. I hope you don't mind.

FL Ishani Maheshwari

(softly) Not at all. Thank you.

(softly) Not at all. Thank you.

They sit across from each other, sipping tea in a peaceful silence.

Rudra serves a simple breakfast: toast, fruits, and poha.

FL Ishani Maheshwari

(pleasantly surprised) You didn't need to do all this, Rana Sa.

ML:-Rudra Rajvanshi

(calmly) It's nothing. I prefer my guests leave well-rested and fed.

FL Ishani Maheshwari

(smiling warmly) Still, thank you. Not everyone would go to so much trouble.

They eat quietly, exchanging occasional smiles, the morning ambiance soothing and natural.

ML:-Rudra Rajvanshi

(looking at her) Let me drop you home. The car is fixed now.

FL Ishani Maheshwari

(hesitant) You've already done so much, Rana Sa. I can manage—

ML:-Rudra Rajvanshi

I said I'll drop you.

FL Ishani Maheshwari

The jeep moves smoothly along the sunlit roads. Rudra glances at Ishani as she gazes out of the window.

(breaking the silence) You didn't tell me where your home is exactly.

FL Ishani Maheshwari

Oh... it's in the city near Central Park, a small flat.

ML:-Rudra Rajvanshi

(raising an eyebrow) You live alone?

FL Ishani Maheshwari

(smiling faintly) Yes. It's peaceful, and I'm used to it now.

The jeep pulls up outside Ishani's modest apartment building.

ML:-Rudra Rajvanshi

(parking) Here we are. ( smiling faintly)

FL Ishani Maheshwari

(getting down, turning to him) Thank you so much, Rana Sa. For everything...

ML:-Rudra Rajvanshi

(smiling faintly) It was nothing, Dr. Maheshwari. Take care of yourself.

FL Ishani Maheshwari

(softly) You too...

She lingers, meeting his eyes briefly before walking inside. Rudra watches her disappear, smiling slightly.

ML:-Rudra Rajvanshi

She really is different...and i don't know but i don't want her to go😒

Inside her apartment, Ishani watches from her window as Rudra's jeep fades into the distance.
