Deiji was surprised by what happened as soon as she climbed. Her companions raised their hands as they faced the men with various weapons in their hands and pointed them in their direction.
"Who are you? Where are you from?" A man said that in Deiji's opinion, they were in their late 40's. Its hair on the front is also quite thin.
"Why did you think of climbing here?" Asked again by a man relatively young compared to the man who first asked them a question a minute ago.
They could not answer the question so they remained silent. However, the males did not lose to them. Yuki stepped forward and spoke for her group.
"We're a…"
Yuki's introduction didn't seem to know what to say and she was still figuring out the words that she could use.
"We're living in a girls and boys dormitory not too far from here. We ran away last night from zombies until we got here on top of the wall." Yuki explained then pointed behind her where they came from.
"We followed those people who were with us last night. But… There's someone who's bitten and everyone runs away and we decided to get back here to find food for the baby." Yuki's explanation was long and awkward.
"Baby?" Repeated question of a man from the other group.
On the other hand, Glenn showed a baby who smiled exactly at the other group. The men slowly lowered the weapon they were holding when they saw the baby.
"There is no food here." The old woman sighed deeply.
"But it's a very large building. If I'm not mistaken, we're currently on the fifth floor. It's impossible that there is no food in this building." Deiji had a long, serious argument with them.
"This one we're in now, if you notice, it's a gym. This building is a small kindergarten and nursery school." Explanation by an old woman.
"I am the principal." She continues and introduces herself to the five young people.
"Where is the cafeteria in this building?" Michelle asked politely.
In her mind, all schools should have a canteen or cafeteria, regardless of how small or large the building is.
"On the ground floor." Answered by a woman holding the hand of a girl who looks only around 8 to 10 years old. It looks like the girl is her daughter.
"No food?" Michael asked.
"A lot." Asik ng Principal sa Kanya.
"There are many. Why did she say no?" Michael asks confusedly as he points to the old woman who told them a while ago that there was no food in there.
"There's a lot of food in the cafeteria, but some zombies have entered, so nothing." Explanation of the man who asked the first question.
Glenn thought they would starve to death if they hadn't thought of getting down to get something to eat.
Glenn took off the jacket on the back and handed the child to Yuki.
"Let's go down." Glenn said boldly to them.
They just avoided looking at him. There is fear and sadness in their eyes.
"If you don't eat, you'll still die." At the same time, Deiji sighed.
"Maybe help is coming. We can wait." Said a man from the other group.
"Yeah, we'll only die early if we get out of there." An old lady agreed.
"The question is. Is there anyone out there who will help us? How can they save us if they don't know we need help?" Glenn cornered them.
Additionally, people seem to believe this because their cell phones don't find any signal.
"I'll just get some food," Deiji said proudly then looked deep as he stared at the men in front of him.
Her eyes seemed to tease them. Deiji succeeded in forcing them to volunteer when a few people raised their hands to join her.
"You could calmly wait for us here. We'll just go down to check the way to the cafeteria. "We will return when it is okay for you to go down." Glenn gave commands and reminders, looking like the leader of the large group now.
"Yuki, stay here," Deiji told Yuki and exchanged glances with her friends Michael and Michelle.
"Our baby is about to eat." Deiji gently tells the baby and pinches its cheeks which makes the baby giggle.
The men who volunteered said goodbye to their families to come down.
"I'll be in front. Watch out for the back." Glenn's order as he comes out first and leads the others.
"Mom, is Dad okay?" The girl asked her mother.
"Of course. Papa is so strong." The mother replied to her daughter even though she was worried too.
The girl stood up and then approached the baby carried by Yuki.
"Hello, baby." The girl greeted the baby.
The baby just looked at her and then laughed. Baby is feeling fine because the wet cloth has cleaned her buttocks which are already full of poop. In the locker of the children studying here, Yuki found cloth to use as a temporary diaper.
"What's her name, Ate?" The girl asked Yuki.
Yuki couldn't answer because she didn't know the child's name since it wasn't her own.
"Zebby." Michelle suddenly groaned. Yuki, Michelle, and Michael looked at each other.
"Hi, Zebby. I'm Darlene." Introduce the child to Zebby even though she doesn't understand her.
Darlene played with the baby while waiting for the father and the others to come back safely.
On the other hand, the group of volunteers who headed down to the cafeteria carefully evacuated the zombies that were blocking the hallways. If there is a zombie in a room, they just close it so they can't get out.
"It's a lucky thing there are only a few here," Deiji said and her comrades agreed.
"How old are you?" Glenn and Deiji looked at the man who asked Deiji. The man thinks she's still in her 20s, just like him, but he's a few years older.
As she raised her face proudly and straight in an effort to turn the guy off, she added, "21, why?"
Glenn, on the other hand, secretly laughed because of the girl's attitude toward the man who was interested in her. This is how Deiji works with men to keep them away because her goal in life is to finish school.
They safely descended into the cafeteria and quietly celebrated.
"That's a lot of food. I'm really hungry." The fat man said happily to them.
"Hey! Wait for us!" He was stopped by a man who looked like his friend.
The two were in a hurry when suddenly three zombies appeared and they were surrounded by them. Everyone is confused. The two were shocked.
The fat one gets a chair and then blocks the zombies while holding the chair.
His friend hid in the back because he could not run. This is because a zombie came from behind them that they did not notice when they entered because of the rush.
The rest of them quickly approached to help, led by Glenn and Deiji.
Glenn grabs the zombie being held by the man and prevents it from biting him.
Glenn slapped the zombie's head on the floor tiles until the brain came out and scattered. The man who was attacked earlier did nothing but disgust.
Deiji in turn kicked the zombie in front of the fat one who struggled to approach him but couldn't because of the chair he used to block.
The zombie sprang up and lay down due to the force of Deiji's kick then he stabbed its head with a knife.
While the last zombie is being attacked by other men. Glenn even helped get rid of it for them.
"Let's just bring some food upstairs. It's dangerous here." A man's suggestion.
"Let's do that." Glenn agreed.
They each carry food. Deiji says 'the more, the better.' So they each carried the food that Glenn had assigned to them.
"Deiji, you're on pizza and sandwiches." The girl nodded at him.
"You two take care of the drinks. Do more uncertain behavior and we'll leave." Glenn threatened the two. The two were scared, so they followed immediately.
