Yoongi’s Backstory

Yoongi’s life was upended five years ago in a single, tragic moment. His parents, hardworking and loving, were returning from a rare evening out when their car was struck by a speeding truck. The accident was fatal, leaving Yoongi and his younger brother, Jungkook, orphaned overnight.

At just 19 years old, Yoongi had to grow up fast. With no extended family willing to help, he became Jungkook’s legal guardian. Jungkook, only 13 at the time, was devastated, and Yoongi had to shoulder the twin burdens of grief and responsibility.

Determined to provide a stable life for his brother, Yoongi put aside his own dreams. He worked multiple part-time jobs to keep food on the table and ensure Jungkook’s education continued uninterrupted. Despite the struggles, he never let Jungkook see his exhaustion.

Jungkook, now 18, is a brilliant and ambitious student who dreams of becoming a doctor. But medical school isn’t cheap, and Yoongi knows his current income won’t be enough to cover the expenses.

Morning Chaos at the Kim Mansion

The Kim mansion was bustling with morning energy, but one particular guest was up to his usual mischief. Jimin didn’t live with the Kim family—he had his own lavish apartment—but he often stayed over just to go to college with Taehyung. He loved teasing the family and being part of their morning chaos.

Startled, Taehyung jerked upright. "JIMIN!" he yelled, rubbing his eyes groggily.

Jimin stood back, laughing uncontrollably. "Your face! You should see it right now. Priceless!"

"Why do I let you stay over?" Taehyung grumbled, though a small smile tugged at his lips.

"Because you love me," Jimin teased, throwing Taehyung’s uniform at him. "Now hurry up. I’m hungry, and breakfast at your house is worth waking you up for."

Taehyung rolled his eyes but got out of bed, muttering, "One of these days, I’m locking my door."

The Dining Hall Antics

The dining hall was as lively as ever, with Namjoon seated at the head of the table and Seokjin fussing over breakfast. J-Hope was already munching on toast, and Jimin sauntered in, dragging a still-sleepy Taehyung behind him.

"Morning, everyone!" Jimin chirped, plopping into a chair. "Taehyung almost made us late again."

Seokjin raised an eyebrow. "Tae, how are you always late when you live here?"

"Ask Jimin! He’s the one who stays over and spends half the morning nagging me," Taehyung defended, grabbing a plate of eggs.

Jimin smirked. "Don’t blame me just because you can’t wake up on your own."

"Okay, children, behave," Namjoon said with a chuckle. "Jimin, how’s your dad? Still working you hard for those business lessons?"

Jimin groaned dramatically. "Don’t remind me, Dad. That’s why I come here—to escape lectures about business."

"Speaking of lectures," Seokjin said, setting down a glass of vegetable juice in front of Jimin, "you should try this. It’s good for your skin."

Jimin sniffed the juice and scrunched his nose. "Appa, are you trying to poison me? This smells like grass!"

J-Hope leaned in and whispered, "I told you. It’s pure lawnmower juice."

The table erupted in laughter, and even Namjoon couldn’t help but smile. "Eat quickly, you two," he said, looking at Jimin and Taehyung. "You’re going to be late if you keep this up."

"See? I told you we’d be late because of Tae!" Jimin said, sticking out his tongue at Taehyung.

"Yah, you’re the one who spent ten minutes wrestling me out of bed!" Taehyung shot back, his mouth full of toast.

As the family laughed at their banter, Jimin looked around, feeling a deep sense of comfort. He didn’t live here, but mornings at the Kim mansion always felt like home. No matter how much chaos and teasing filled the air, the love and warmth of the Kim family were the best start to any day.
