A Few Weeks Later ~

Everything remained the same way, ignoring and pretending like they don't see each other.

Jungkook didn't forget about his mission, but he is still sullen. He is still hurt, and he doesn't know when it will be over.

Little did he know, Taehyung was still there, protecting him from afar. Even just by watching, Taehyung managed to keep him safe.

And Jungkook never noticed those eyes, he's too busy in training and distracting himself from the Captain.

At least, Taehyung was thankful that Jungkook had his friends, his teammates.

They are helping Jungkook in ways that he can't, and probably make him laugh. At least, that's what he is thankful for now.

𝗟𝗶𝗲𝘂𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗛𝗮𝗻 : Captain, Let's go!

They had some missions in the other city, and they are leaving today.

Taehyung nodded and took a last glance at Jungkook who was learning how to shoot with a gun, and then he left.

Heart was still heavy, he knew he had to apologize one day. He can't do the General's mission if they are like this.

He can't always protect him from afar.

Soldier

𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗿 : Water break for fifteen minutes! *announced*

Listening to the announcement, all the soldiers went to the side to rest and drink some water.

*noticed Jungkook was looking for something*

Hmm..? *looks at him* I just forgot my bag in the room. I'll just get it now.

*nods*

*immediately went on his way towards their assigned room*

*unlocked it and went inside to get his bag*

Why did I not bring you? *asked the bag*

Jungkook went outside, locking the door. But even before he leaves, a hard object swung onto his head.

And, he lost consciousness.

Jungkook's hands, feet and mouth were tied. He was sitting on a heightened area, he was feeling pain in his head when his eyes fluttered open.

💭 Mmm, where am I?

He tried to move his muscles but couldn't, he tried again and again until he realized he was tied.

💭 I can't move my body. *wriggled a little*

💭 OH MY GOD!! *looks down*

Jungkook's body was shaking intensely, his heart beat was faster than normal, and he was literally panicking.

Who wouldn't? He is on the edge of a cliff and one wrong move, he will immediately slide off down and die.

He hates heightened places, so fcking much! It's not even funny.

He tried to push the sledge backwards so that he would go away from the edge at least. But, that just made the sledge to slide down even more, and Jungkook's heart almost slipped a beat.

*eyes widen* Unm!!! 💭 NO!!

*tears falling down from his cheeks*

His hands, feet and mouth were tied, he can't do anything but to just feel helpless. By the intense beating of his heart and the height he thinks he might gonna faint any moment.

But, he knew better, he knew nothing would happen if he would just sit and cry waiting for help. Who knows if he would be alive when someone comes to rescue him.

He started to move his face and mouth muscles, he was careful to not move his body much, or he might slide down the hill.

He succeeded in removing the handkerchief off his mouth.

HELLOO!!? ANYONE IN THERE!?! *shouted in fear*

There was nothing but only the return of his voice echoing in the silent hill making him tear up even more. Will he be able to get out of here?

Jeon Jungkook [Soldier]

PLEASE, SOMEONE HELP ME!!!!! I BEG YOU PLEASE!!! *cries*

There was no response but just the echos. He kept on shouting thinking maybe someone would hear his voice and would help, but there was none. His throats started to hurt by all the shouts now.

He was losing hope now, no one was answering. Maybe, no one would be able to find him here. Maybe, he will just die here only.

The sun was setting now and that made him sigh as the tears rolled down his eyes to his cheeks.

Please.. Please... Help me please.. *mumbles in low tone*

His voice was getting weak, and it even cracked at the end. He had no energy anymore to shout, and it made him cry even harder now.

His eyes fall on the letter which was placed on the floor of the sledge. It was beside his foot, but he could read it well.

Reading this, his little bit of hope also vanished. He knows now no one can save him in this short time, especially when he had wasted all the time shouting for help.

But, a person crossed his mind. The person who was ordered to take care of him, the person who always keeps his eyes on him, the person with whom he felt safe, the person who also makes him experience the pain he never felt before.

*chuckled bitterly* Why would he save me?.. He doesn't see me as a friend.

Jeon Jungkook [Soldier]

He said we are not related. He's a Captain, and I'm just his subordinate.. He won't care even if I die.😞

He was mumbling remembering the last conversation he had with the Captain. He was hurt.

But, in the corner of his heart, he was still hoping, hoping that HE would come and save him.

He waited, waited and waited until it was already night. But, no one came.

😨😰 *gasped at the sudden movement of sledge*

The sledge started to slide off again, but this time continuously. Jungkook felt so scared, he was so frightened. Maybe, this is the end of him?

He didn't even get to thank his friends for cheering him up, he didn't even get to say goodbye to his mother. Lastly.. He didn't get to say goodbye to the Captain, Taehyung.

Big fat tears fell down his eyes continuously, as the sledge continued to slide. He is accepting it slowly, it's his time.

The sledge reached the end, it was just a few slides, a few seconds more, and he will fall down the cliff.

*closed his eyes as tears fell down*

With a heavy heart he sighed, he knew he had to accept his fate now. After all, he lived a good life.

The sledge reached the end, and finally it slid off the cliff.
