All new trainees know how to ride a horse, it's just you.

Jungkook stepped onto the foot hook of the horse, he held onto the harness, and he successfully sat on top of the horse.

But, he immediately crouched down when he realized how high he was sitting. He suddenly remembered what happened to him in the morning.

Jeon Jungkook [Soldier]

Oh my God, oh my God! (⁠ᗒ⁠ᗩ⁠ᗕ⁠) *cried, eyes shut tightly*

Kim Taehyung [Captain]

*rode the other horse and looked at Jungkook with a disappointing gaze*

Sit up straight, nothing will happen if you will be scared.

*shook his head vigorously*

It's seriously making Taehyung crazy and disappointed seeing him. How can a future soldier be this weak?

He waited for some minutes for Jungkook to get adjusted, but all he heard were cries from the other.

Kim Taehyung [Captain]

*click his tongue* The horse can feel that you are scared. So, he won't hurt you!

Jungkook thought for a while but still being a little scared. Maybe he can do it? Maybe nothing will happen if he tries right?

He gathered his courage and slowly straightened up on the horse, his grasp on the harness was still tight.

When he realized that he was finally sitting straight, he opened his eyes and saw Captain smiling.

Kim Taehyung [Captain]

*smile immediately faded away*

Why the Captain wouldn't want anyone to see him smiling?

*coughed and cleared his throat*

Just gently hit the horse with the rope, attached to its harness if you want it to run.

Kim Taehyung [Captain]

Keep on hitting it, if you want it to run faster.

If you want to go left or right, just put the pressure on your body onto which side you want to go.

Kim Taehyung [Captain]

To stop it, just lean backward and it will halt on its place.

Jeon Jungkook [Soldier]

*nodded, listening to his words carefully*

*hit the horse with the rope and it started walking slowly*

*flinched at the sudden movement*

The horse was going in circles and he eventually got used to it.

Jeon Jungkook [Soldier]

Oh, this is nice. *said while slowly trying to control the horse*

Taehyung was watching Jungkook all the time, he let Jungkook adjust with the horse for some time and then decided to speak.

Kim Taehyung [Captain]

Should we go for a stroll?

Jeon Jungkook [Soldier]

*nodded immediately with a big smile*

Jungkook is proud of himself that he can run a horse now.

They both went out of the camp, out of the city they were in. The sun is already setting down, and it's visible since there are just trees and no huge buildings yet.

Jeon Jungkook [Soldier]

*smiled*

Jungkook never knew it was this relaxing to take a stroll without seeing any smoke coming out from the factories.

The rivers are clean, the streets are full of plants and the people who were sharing food, talking with each other and the children playing.

It's just too endearing to see this scenario, especially for Jungkook as he knows and have seen that everything will be gone in the future.

The horse suddenly groaned and lifted himself up. A pebble hit his eye by one of the children who were playing.

Jeon Jungkook [Soldier]

AAAAA!! *almost fell off but he tightened his grip on the harness*

Because of the tight grip the horse ran faster getting anxious, the speed of it was too much for Jungkook's liking.

The Captain was also running behind him on the horse with the same speed.

The people were looking at them and getting on the side to give them a way and not to get crushed by the horse.

The horse wasn't stopping at all, and Taehyung doesn't know where it's going. But, the thing he knows is, he is really dead if something happened to the General's son.

They were now in the forest and all Taehyung could hear was his rising heartbeat, horses' footsteps and Jungkook's cries.

He heard some other noise too, but he didn't focus on that, his all focus was on Jungkook now.

Suddenly, another horse drifted on the front to stop Jungkook. The horse got surprised and lifted himself up and groaned.

But this time, Jungkook didn't hold onto the horse anymore, he let it go and slid down the horse thinking he is gonna die.

Taehyung quickly hopped off the horse and was about to catch Jungkook, but someone else was quicker than him.

Park Bogum [Soldier]

It's ok, it's ok. You are safe now. *encircle his arms around Jungkook*

*caressing his back to calm him down*

Jeon Jungkook [Soldier]

*crying hard*

Jeon Jungkook [Soldier]

I'm never riding a horse *sniffs* anymore. *said in between his cries*

He was shaking for real, who wouldn't be when that happens?

On the other side, Taehyung had no choice but to stand there and watch Bogum to calm Jungkook down.

Kim Taehyung [Captain]

*slowly approached them*

Park Bogum [Soldier]

*saluted him even though he was sitting because of Jungkook*

Park Bogum [Soldier]

I'm sorry sir, but I followed you both when I saw what was happening. *explained*

Kim Taehyung [Captain]

*nodded slowly*

Jeon Jungkook [Soldier]

Thank you. *tears trail down from his eyes*

Park Bogum [Soldier]

*guided him to get up*

Jungkook was having a hard time standing up, because his legs were shaking.

His eyes met with the Captain, but he quickly looked away. He was still crying.

Park Bogum [Soldier]

If it's ok, I will take him back to the camp.
