The air in the estate was thick with tension, an undercurrent of unease settling over the servants as they rushed to complete their tasks. Something was wrong. They could feel it.
Taehyung stood by the large window in Jungkook’s chambers, absently running his fingers over the edge of the silk curtains. He didn’t know why he felt restless today. His omega instincts were whispering danger.
The heavy doors of the mansion slammed open downstairs, echoing through the halls like a war drum.
Jungkook’s sharp eyes flickered up from the documents he was reviewing in his office. His jaw clenched. He knew that scent unfamiliar yet arrogant. Another alpha.
He rose from his chair, his muscles coiled tight with aggression.
By the time he reached the grand hall, the intruder had already made himself comfortable. A tall, broad-shouldered alpha lounged against the marble staircase, his smirk filled with amusement.
