The quiet hum of the estate filled the evening air, broken only by the occasional rustle of leaves swaying in the breeze.
Jungkook sat in his study, a glass of whiskey in one hand, the other drumming impatiently on the armrest of his leather chair.
His mind, however, was far from the contracts and reports spread out on his desk.
Every image of the omega played on a loop in his head: the way Taehyung’s eyes widened in surprise when Jungkook summoned him, the delicate curve of his neck as he tilted his head in submission, the trembling softness of his lips when Jungkook claimed them.
Jungkook had always been surrounded by beauty, power, and willing bodies.
Maids, workers, and even socialites would throw themselves at him, desperate for his attention.
Yet, none of them had ever lingered in his thoughts the way Taehyung did.
None of them had ever made him feel this volatile mix of hunger and unease.
With a sharp exhale, Jungkook downed the rest of his drink and slammed the glass onto the desk.
The sound echoed, but it did little to quiet the storm brewing within him.
The study door creaked open, and Yoongi stepped in uninvited, a calm yet calculating look on his face.
As Jungkook’s closest advisor—and the only one brave enough to speak freely to him—Yoongi had a habit of appearing at the most inconvenient times.

Yoongi remarked, crossing the room to pour himself a drink from Jungkook’s decanter.
Jungkook shot him a glare.

Yoongi corrected, swirling the amber liquid in his glass.
