“ Christiana ! Say hello to the Andrews ! You and their son go to the same school. You should have met him right ? “ I was stunned seeing Brian standing casually by his parents and looking at me calmly but coldly. I was so scared that instead of replying I only clung on to my brother who was standing next to me. He got the signal that I didn’t want to interact with the new guests and had to do the greetings on my behalf “ I’m sorry about that ! My sister is quite shy around new people ! I welcome you to our humble abode ! “ Christin bowed at the end making the Andrew couple smile widely clearly appreciating his impeccable manners “ Christin I want to go to my room ! “ I whispered and he only glanced at me for a few seconds before nodding in understanding and excuse if us from the group leading me out of there. In cases like this I couldn’t help but be grateful for my brother’s life but before we could climb up the stairs leading to my room a chilling voice rang out making me stop in my tracks “ Christiana! May I have a word with you ? “ I turned back to see Brian standing a few feet away and my hands subconsciously grabbed onto my brother’s shirt. Christin noticed my obvious fear for Brian and tried to object but Brian was stubborn and dragged me away neither the less. He pulled me along towards our garden and stopped when he thought we were far enough “ does Isabella know ? “ the question he asked was vague but I still understood what he meant “ she doesn’t know ! “ I said my reply barely audible making him glare at me so I took some steps back “ why are you so scared of me ? “ he asked curiosity laced in his voice “ who says I’m scared of you ? “ I said trying to hide my trembling voice but I failed miserably “ I just don’t like you ! “ I continued and stared at him cautiously. I was expecting him to shoot me another glare but he just smirked leading me to rethink whether what i had said was the right option. I was thinking about what to do next when I remembered the book still in my grasp and opened it so scheme through its contents. Indeed this confrontation happened in the diary but it had gone way more differently since me in the book since to had developed romantic feelings for Brian at that moment which made me almost want to puke. Who in their right senses would fall for someone like him. “ what are you reading ? “ “ none of your business ! “ I replied sharply and then continued “ but please would you let me return to my room I don’t really feel comfortable around you ! “ “ sure ! But first I want you to answer me this why does Isabella not know about your background considering how prominent it is ! “ “ there’s a thing called choice in this world you know ! More so if you and Isa are really close you should know she doesn’t favor people in the higher social circles ! “ “ she accepted my background! What makes you think you’d be different ? “ I stayed silent making him sigh and continue “ anyways I don’t really care about that. What’s most important now is that I want you to stay away from Isa ! “ “ huh ?! Why would u listen to you ?! “ “ I like Isa and I think this is in her best interest so kindly do me a favor and disappear ! “ I clenched my fists not wanting to believe the absurdity of this boy but thinking about what the book might entail I decided to make my decision after a little more thought but seeing Brian’s impatience I hesitantly replied “ ok ! I’ll leave ! I want to finish reading this book anyways and I find school boring since I’m already qualified for university education. This makes it a lot more easier for me ! “ I tried to sound courageous while saying this and seeing him momentarily stunned I ran away into the maize path not expecting him to follow me unless he wanted to get lost
