Maybe we should...

Fuji Pharmaceuticals Lab

City B

Assistant Toma and Haru sat in a dark corner of the storage room inside the main building.

“Maybe we should tell your brothers about what’s going on,” Toma expressed his concern.

For the last couple of months they’ve been one step behind Hisa, she’s been stealing medication from the labs and putting orders behind. Several hospital and local pharmacies were experiencing draw backs and complaints were starting to emerge.

“No, they have a lot going on right now. We can take care of this on our own,” Haru explained.

He wasn’t going to get Yoshio and Benjiro involved in this, he was sure he could handle it. Hisa has been a distributor for the illegal drugs they distributed to different dealers around the world. When Haru had decided to go straight and cut ties with the people he did illegal dealings he knew there would be draw backs but he didn’t know what kinds.

Haru turned around when he saw the light from a flashlight moving closer to them.

“The guard already did his rounds. This could be Hisa,” Haru took out the gun from his waist band and cocked it. Toma went around to cover the rear in case there was more than one person with her.

“I didn’t expect this from you,” Haru stepped out pointing the gun at Hisa’s head.

“Drop it,” a man pointed a gun to the back of Haru’s head. He could feel the weight of the barrel resting on his skin.

“You drop it,” Toma said softly as he pressed the barrel of the gun to the man’s head.

“I can’t do that,” the man said pressing the gun closer to Haru’s head.

“Then today is the last day of your life,” Toma said cocking the gun.

“Whenever you Gentlemen are finished posturing let me know,” Hisa sat down on top of one of the crates with the gun still aimed at her head.

“What are you doing here?” Haru asked.

“Lower your weapons and let’s talk,” Hisa suggested and the man that was with her lowered his weapon. Toma looked at Haru to see if he should lower his weapon. Haru lowered his weapon as a signal that Toma should lower his weapon also.

“What do you want?” Haru asked lookin at Hisa. Her long brown hair was up in a tight ponytail and her dark down eyes seem to shine in the pale light of the moon. She had a scar on her left cheek that went from her ear to the corner of her mouth.

He remembered asking her about it once. Her only response was ‘ you should see what the other guy looks like,’ she smiled.

Hisa was not like other women, she’s wasn’t weak or vulnerable. All the dealers she supplied to feared her and she never carried a gun.

‘ those who do the talking get other to do the taking of life for them,’ she told him as she ordered several men executed for stealing from her. Hisa was not going to be easy to get rid off but he had to try.

“I want my drugs that you promised me,” she said in a calm voice.

“We Don’t supply illegal drugs anymore. The company is clean now,” Haru explained.

“That’s lovely. I’m really proud of the straight and narrow path you find yourself on. However, you promised me 245 crates of Diamond and now you’re telling me that I’m not going to get it,” she rolled her eyes. She couldn’t believe that he was just going to cut her off like this.

“All that is over. Furthermore you need to stop stealing the medication patients needs these,” Haru looked at her.

“Do you remember the time we went drinking to celebrate that we made more than a billion in profits?” Hisa asked.

“Yes,” Haru’s answer was monotone and disinterested. He’d agreed to go out to celebrate because his father had insisted that he go.

The was just once cup of alcohol after the other with people he didn’t know or care to know. Once again he was trapped in a place with people who just wanted something from him.

“I remember it too and I like that feeling. Now I’ll give you two months to have my drugs made and ready to go,” Hisa got up from the crate she was sitting on.

“No, I told you we’re done with that. I’m not making any more drugs for you,” Haru said his voice firm and unmoving.

“Oh, I’m sorry you misunderstand me. I’m not asking you to give the drugs I’m telling you to give me the drugs. Because if you don’t you’ll find yourself attending a funeral everyday until you have no family left,” Hisa looked at Haru.

“Are you threatening me?” Haru pointed the gun at her again.

“Hahahahaha now you know me better than that. Threats are for the weak; I’m promising you,” she reached into her pocket and pulled out her phone.

“I could start with this little guy,” she turned the phone around to show a picture of her and Yoshio.

“Or maybe I should start with the youngest,” she scrolled over to another picture of her and Sanosuke at his daycare.

“So don’t think for one second that I won’t do it. I’m not like the other people you’ve exiled from your life. You maybe the king in your world but I’m the empresses of mine and in my world I don’t exile; I execute,” Hisa moved the gun away and walked away.

“Two months, don’t disappoint me,” she walked away with the guy who was with her following behind.

“Still think we shouldn’t tell your brothers,” Toma asked putting his gun away.

“No we can handle this,” Haru ran his fingers through his hair and put his gun away.
