The countryside of Wainoundley stretched under a grey, drizzling sky, its rolling hills scarred by landslides and treacherous paths slick with mud. Yet, amidst the devastation, there was a strange serenity—mist clung to the distant trees, and the rhythmic patter of rain filled the air with a soothing cadence.
Tents flapped in the wind, offering shelter to villagers who had lost their homes. Fires burned low under tarpaulin covers.
In one tent, Zander moved with quiet determination, tending to the injured. His hands, steady and skilled, bandaged wounds and comforted frightened children. His presence was a calming force.

Well, alright, champ? I'll be around if you need me.
The rain had slowed to a drizzle and eventually, the sky cleared. Zander walked through the quiet camp, his coat clinging to his shoulders as he yawned. Mingling with the occasional murmur from the makeshift tents, the distant croak of frogs and the rustle of the trees filled the night air.
He sighed, tipping his head back to let the cool rain hit his face.
Zander Von Edrington
. . .
The faint sounds of hurried footsteps pierced the stillness, pulling his gaze sharply in the direction of it. As the lantern's warm glow sliced through the swirling mist, a shadowy figure materialized, drawing closer to the camp. For a moment, he froze, disbelief rooting him in place.
Zander Von Edrington
Jacinth?
Her dress clung to her body, dripping with rain and splattered with thick, brown mud at the hem. She was breathing heavily, her hands shaking as she grasped her drenched shawl tighter around her shoulders. When her eyes met him, Zander's breath caught in his throat.
Love Story—Indila
Not support
He thought it was just rain. But no, it wasn't.
Zander Von Edrington
What are you doing here?
He finally managed, looking away, his Adam's apple bobbing. His voice was rough, with a hint of concern.
Jacinth Ashbourne
I couldn't—I couldn't stay back.
She faltered, her lip quivering, but she stood firm despite the worry and exhaustion etched into her every feature.
Jacinth Ashbourne
Not knowing. Not after—
She broke off, her voice cracking.
Zander reached her in a few strides, his hands pulled into his embrace. He breathed heavily, trembling as he held his wife in his arms tightly. It was the rain and her cry, settling deep into Zander's heart.
Zander Von Edrington
I missed you.
He murmured, his voice breaking.
Zander Von Edrington
I missed you so much.
Her tears poured out in a relentless stream, each sob escaping her lips and muffling against his chest.
Jacinth Ashbourne
I thought— I thought I wouldn’t see you again.
Zander held her tighter, his hand cradling the back of her head as he placed his forehead on hers, breathing heavily.
Zander Von Edrington
I'm here.

Cara De Clare — Reverie! 🌈
This whole episode was beautiful beyond words. I don't know how to describe my feelings about this. You use simple, small sentences, yet they turn into something so magnificent.
