•••Melodic Mockery•••
Hopefully I think your loving it right
The room is heavy with the tension from Lucian and Aaron’s sharp mockery. The queen’s grip on the throne is tight, her entire body rigid with anger. But just as she begins to gather herself, a soft voice rises from the back of the room, cutting through the silence.]
. Leo Harkness
[with a smooth, melodic tone, tinged with playful sarcasm] "I must say, Your Majesty, you’ve truly outdone yourself." [He steps forward, voice effortlessly carrying across the hall, the weight of his words amplified by his natural charm] "Such a performance—truly Broadway-worthy. You should consider a career in acting. You already have the dramatic gestures down to an art."
[Lucian, still grinning, leans over to Aaron and whispers with a chuckle.]
. Lucian Vantier
"I knew he’d join in. His delivery is always on point."
[Leo, meanwhile, gives the queen an exaggerated bow, his eyes glinting with mischief.]
. Leo Harkness
"A queen so... regal in her fury. Tell me, Your Majesty, do you perform this show for every heir, or is it just us lucky seven? Because I must admit, I'm thoroughly entertained." [He smiles, but there’s no warmth in it. Only sharpness.] "Such passion—truly inspiring. I almost feel guilty of not applauding."
[The queen’s expression hardens, but Leo continues, his tone like velvet, yet cutting like a blade.]
. Leo Harkness
"But I’m afraid your performance has a fatal flaw, Your Majesty. It lacks originality. You’ve been playing the role of 'the all-knowing ruler' for so long that you’ve forgotten the most basic rule of performance: Never bore the audience." [He lifts an eyebrow, his voice full of mock sympathy] "And right now, I can tell, we’re all rather... tired of the same old act."
[Lucian, Aaron, and the others look at each other with a mix of amusement and respect. The queen, however, is furious, her face now a mask of barely controlled rage.]
Russo Valentina
[voice dangerously low] "You dare mock me, Leo? You, of all people, who owe everything to this family?"
. Leo Harkness
Ting his head thoughtfully, feigning innocence] "Oh, but I do owe everything to this family, Your Majesty. Which is exactly why I can’t sit idly by and watch you squander everything with these outdated power plays. You’re not ruling a kingdom, you’re playing a Game of Thrones, and it’s boring everyone to tears." [He steps closer, his voice lowering, almost sing-song in its mockery] "You see, there’s a difference between being a ruler and being a tyrant. And it’s a very fine line. Don’t make the mistake of thinking we can’t tell the difference."
[The queen’s lips tighten into a thin line, her eyes narrowing. She wants to lash out, to regain control, but the combined force of their mockery leaves her fumbling for words. For the first time, her power feels fragile.]
. Leo Harkness
"I’m sure you’ll find some way to reclaim your little throne, Your Majesty. You always do." [He turns to the others, raising an eyebrow with a playful smirk] "But don’t blame us when the show turns into a tragedy."
[With that, Leo takes his seat, his gaze still locked on the queen, daring her to do something about it. The room is now thick with anticipation. The queen, seething with rage, watches as her heirs, one by one, show their unity in defiance. For the first time, she is the one who feels powerless.]
[Lucian, Aaron, and Leo exchange a look—an unspoken understanding among them. They’ve broken through her façade, exposing her weakness.]
