REBIRTH OF THE REBELLIOUS QUEEN

As the day wore on, Jungkook strategically kept his distance, observing every movement, every glance, every whisper in the royal school. His rebirth had gifted him more than just memories; he could now anticipate their every move. He knew that his sisters were scheming something ahead of the academic examinations—just as they had done in his past life. They had planted false rumors about him being incompetent in literature, math, and the sword, ensuring his humiliation in front of the whole kingdom
Jungkook had spent his rebirth mastering the very skills they had mocked him for. Literature, calligraphy, math, swordsmanship, and even the courtly etiquette of a queen—everything had been learned, honed, perfected. He had made sure no one suspected his transformation. Now, the examination was only two days away, and his sisters, along with Prince Park Bogum, the seventh prince, were eagerly waiting for him to fail once more.
That night, as the palace settled into silence, Jungkook sat alone in his chamber, his maids discreetly leaving him to his thoughts. He would not let the past repeat itself. He would not be the puppet of his family, or of Prince Park Bogum, who had used him to rise to the throne only to discard him.

"Jiso, Jennie, Prince Park Bogum…" Jungkook whispered, his voice barely audible. "You will regret underestimating me."
He had returned to the imperial Royal School, the place where it all began. The first time he had walked these halls, he had been an embarrassment—lacking noble etiquette, knowledge, and skill in every discipline. Now, though, he carried himself with grace, his movements refined, and his posture unyielding, a far cry from the clumsy youth he once was
As he entered the school’s courtyard, the air buzzed with whispers. His rebirth had gone unnoticed by most, but the change in his demeanor couldn’t be ignored. He saw them from the corner of his eye—his two step-sisters, Jisoo and Jennie, approaching with their usual smug looks. They had once been able to toy with him, feigning care while mocking his every weakness. But not anymore.

*Before they could reach him, a voice called out from behind. “Jungkook!” It was Kim So Jin, a fellow student who had taken an interest in him. Unlike the others, So Jin had no hidden agenda, and his presence brought a sense of comfort.*

*So Jin caught up to him, breathless but smiling.*“I’m glad to see you today. I wanted to ask if we could study together for the upcoming exam.”

*Jungkook gave him a small smile, one that didn’t quite reach his eyes.* “Of course, So Jin. I would be honored.”

**Before their conversation could continue, Jisoo and Jennie arrived, flanked by their friends.** “Jungkook!” Jennie called out sweetly, her voice dripping with false concern. “We were just talking about the upcoming exam. It must be so hard for you, having been so... unprepared in the past.”

*Jisoo chimed in, her tone equally insincere.* “But don’t worry, dear brother. We’ll defend you from anyone who dares mock your... shortcomings.”
Their friends giggled behind them, the mockery barely concealed. In his past life, Jungkook would have shrunk under their gaze, his insecurities eating away at him. But this time, he stood tall, his face serene, and his eyes unwavering.

“I thank you for your concern, sisters,” he said, his voice calm yet commanding. “But there is no need for such worry. I have prepared for the exam in ways that you cannot imagine. Perhaps you should focus on your own studies instead of mine.”
The courtyard fell silent. Jennie’s smile faltered, and Jisoo’s eyes narrowed, clearly not expecting such a composed response. Their friends exchanged confused glances, uncertain of what had just happened.
Kim So Jin blinked in surprise but quickly masked it with a grin. He stepped closer to Jungkook, standing beside him as if to show solidarity

*“Indeed,” Sojin added, his voice light.*“Jungkook has been working hard. Perhaps you could learn something from him.”

*Jisoo and Jennie exchanged tense looks before Jennie forced another smile* “Well, we shall see, dear brother. We shall see.”
As they turned and left, their friends trailing behind them, Jungkook exhaled slowly, releasing the tension from his shoulders. His calm façade had remained intact, but the sting of their past betrayals still simmered beneath the surface. This time, however, he wouldn’t fall victim to their schemes.

*Kim Sojin looked at him curiously.* “You handled that... surprisingly well.”

{Little did Sojin know, Jungkook had lived that time twice over. This life, this second chance, would not be wasted.}

(As they walked together toward the school, Jungkook’s thoughts turned to the upcoming exam. It would be the first of many challenges he would face in this new life, but he was no longer the naive boy who had once been used by the royal Park family. He was now a noble in every sense of the word, and he would prove it—not just to his enemies, but to himself.)
