The newbie threw out all love letters without reading them and made space for these books instead.

A look of indifference washed over Sunghoon face. It appeared that he was uninterested in this topic.
Yoongi did not expect to receive a reply from him anyway. He placed both arms behind his head and teased slowly.

“Aha, both the handsomest and prettiest students of the school are in our class. It’s only going to get more interesting.”
Rowoon ran into the classroom as the bell rang. He looked carefully at So-hee who was sitting in front.

“What are you talking about?! The prettiest student has always been in our class!”
Yoongi smiled but did not comment further.
So-hee used to be the prettiest student in their school, but that position had been taken over by Jungkook. Surely things were not the same as before.

Rowoon finally realized she was in rather low spirits. There were also dark circles beneath her eyes. He scratched his head helplessly.

“Eh? Oh, alright! But So-hee, did you have a poor night’s sleep? Is it because of nerves since the competition is approaching?”
Lee So-Hee
(She shook her head.)
“It’s nothing. I just didn’t sleep well.”
He mumbled quietly, not wanting to continue pestering her. He rose to his feet and walked over to Jungkook seat.

Jungkook received the papers and scanned through the writing.
Indeed, Lin Rowoon was experienced in writing apology essays. His writing was great

(A smirk spread across his face as he raised his brows proudly.)
“Of course. I’m an expert in this!”
Jungkook
“...”
(he did not know what to say.)
Yoongi turned his head over. He could not bear to watch this anymore.
Jungkook left to hand in the apology essay.

Sun Namkoong looked at the apology essay. His eyebrows twitched upon thinking of her test paper from the other day which he scored. Finally, he gave in and accepted the essay.

“Alright, it’s fine as you’ve acknowledged your mistake. There’d better be no second time.”
Looking at the boy standing in front of him, Sun Namkoong recalled the rumors he heard today and thought of commenting on that. However, the crystal clear eyes staring back at him made him realize that would be unnecessary.
This was a smart kid who knew what he wanted.

(He waved his hand dismissively in the air.)
“Go on, head back to class.”
On the way, Jungkook received a notification about a payment transfer.
Jiang Fan had deposited the money into hid account.
he looked at the balance in his bank account. After doing a quick calculation in his head, he cheered up a little after finding out he could live comfortably for the time being.
The first period of the morning was mathematics.
Ha Ji Won, the mathematics teacher, was a middle-aged woman in her early 40s.
She continued going through the previous test papers in this lesson.
Jungkook had asked for a copy of the test papers from Sunghoon yesterday but had not completed them.
On second thought, he picked out a book from the desk.

Silence fell upon the entire classroom.
A few heads turned toward the new student.
The teacher smirked and threw the chalk into the case.

“You must know the answers to all these questions since you’re studying physics in mathematics class? Come on, then.”
The air froze.
Everyone knew Ha Ji Won despised students not paying attention to her lessons. They had to put up a show even if they were really uninterested!

The new boy rose to his feet.

“Which question is it?”

Anger flashed across her face.
Yoongi leaned into his seat before revealing a smile.

This only aggravated the teacher’s fury.

Jungkook lowered his eyes and noticed the neat handwriting on that test paper.

The answers were written on the paper! he should have looked closely before stepping forward.
By then, Jungkook had already picked up a chalk and began solving the question on the blackboard.
His hand moved across the blackboard swiftly. The entire classroom was silent as the grave.

Yoongi straightened his back in his seat before leaning closer to Sunghoon.

Sunghoon did not reply but gently lifted his chin. For the first time, the distant eyes behind the glasses truly focused on the slender silhouette in front of him.

(He finally stopped writing.)
“Miss Ha, I’m done.”
Ha Ji Won features froze for a split second when she looked at the answers scribbled across the blackboard.
This question was the highlight of the test paper. Sunghoon was the only student out of the whole senior form to complete the first two sub-questions.
Not one among them managed to solve the third sub-question.

So-hee wished to nod, but she was stuck halfway through deciphering Jungkook solution on the blackboard.

Upon hearing that, So-hee swallowed the words down her throat.

“Have you done this question before?”
This clearly meant that Jungkook had indeed solved the question!

(the new student replied.)
The teacher’s features softened.

(She tapped the table.)
“One mustn’t be arrogant when it comes to learning. Even if you knew how to solve this question by chance, you shouldn’t have stopped listening to the lesson. Do you think you’d be so lucky again during the final senior exam?”
Undoubtedly, she figured Jungkook was good at mathematics. Otherwise, the latter would not be able to solve an advanced question like this even if he had seen it before.
However, the teacher was displeased because Jungkook had disrespected her.

“I didn’t interrupt the lesson and I managed to solve the question you asked me, right?”
His actions did not breach any school rule.
Therefore, he would not accept the punishment.
A dead silence fell upon the room.
Rowoon and the other students looked at Jungkook. They thought he must have lost his mind.
Was he really challenging the teacher?!

(She slapped the table before pointing at the door. Her voice was low and stern.)
“Go stand outside of the classroom! Besides, since you’re too smart for me, don’t ever attend my class again!”
She thought Jungkook would finally give in at this point. Unexpectedly, the boy only looked at her quietly for a brief moment before nodding calmly.
Then, Jungkook turned around and walked out of the room, not forgetting to close the door behind him.
This incident ended way out of everyone’s expectations.
Frustration rocked through Ha Ji Won as she stared at the closed door.

All the other three in the room turned to look at him differently.
