Chapter 5 Encounters

Next day(Saturday)

Marie is now sitting in the living room and she is quieter than usual. Her little brother Jack is busy running around,as her big sis Ruby who is the quite type asked her little sis."Are you okay?.You seem different today".

"Ur um no it's nothing".Marie looked down fidgeting with her fingers.Ruby glance at Marie with suspicion."Are you sure, you aren't getting bullied?".

"No!, of course not". Marie stood up and walked upstairs to her room in a hurry and locked the door. Sliding down the door on the floor she mumbled." Sorry big sis. I don't want to trouble you with this".

Time skip later

Emily ask her daughter."Marie can I trouble you to buy the groceries?".She nod at her mother and left out the door.

While on her way she bumped into someone and that person walked past. But she looked down and saw a wallet. She picked it up and called the person.

"Excuse me miss!, you dropped this". The person looked at the item in her hand and took it with a smile and said." Thank you. Kind young lady".

She then continued and stretched her hand out for a handshake."Hi, I am Tara Lee. What's yours!".

Marie smiled and thinking(what a beautiful fierce looking lady but so kind)She shook her hand smiling softly while feeling nervously as this is the first time someone is kind to her since moving here.

"The name is Marie Andrewson".Tara Lee then panicked."Oh shoot I am going to be late!!.Sorry Marie.Hope we can meet again".

Marie stared at Tara Lee's departing back as she disappeared.

Then Marie walked to the shop and bought the groceries. She is walking down the street as she then hears whistling. Then heard."Well, well look what we got here. Such a young lady walking alone without a care".

There stood two unknown guys with a arrogant smile and scary face.Marien stepped back and felt a wall against her back.She is trembling as she is trapped.

The two gangsters walked over but got blocked by someone. Marie recognized it's Tom Frames. Tom shout with a glare. "Bastards, leave her alone!!!".

One gangster laughed with sarcasm. As the gangster punched Tom in stomach."Oh what do we got here.Someone trying to play hero".

As he grabbed Tom by the collar and about to punch him in the face, but someone punched him away.

Leaning against the wall a cold voice is heard by Tom." Foolish, you had to play the hero".

Tom smiled flirtily in pain while holding his stomach and said."Just saving a girl in distress".

The other gangster angrily shout,"you dead bastard". But Luke grabbed him by the collar and punched him in the gut.

The two gangsters ran away in pain shouting."Urgh!!,We will be back".

Luke's cold eyes glanced at Marie before walking off and Tom following before giving Marie a smile.

As Marie wanted to thank them but they are already gone and while thinking(Luke Goldman so awesome) with slightly flushed cheeks.

From far there stood Tara Lee mumbling." So much action. At least she's safe". While staring at Marie before leaving.
