Shirley" alright guys & gals we all set with the plan?"

Chase" hey, don't worry Shirley we'll be back."

leaving Shirley's office there's a tangible weight of tension in the air, although right now all we can do is press forward... after a short flight we arrive at our location, and we're thrown right to a gun fight, well this is an interesting way to start out mission. Using my ability I take a couple of them out, Ezra blinds a bunch of them which leaves them open to Vadim's attack. Crushing a few guys with some rocks Titan wastes no time, Omen and Chase teams up and Xavier is also dispatching a few of them but due to the flight he's still a little groggy. Reloading I get right back into the fight...

later at an A.D.O.A safe house

after taking care of the ambush Hrabry sent us, we all finally made it to the safe house and for awhile it felt nice to just relax but evil never rests, after unpacking we all meet down in the living room discussing about the plan and if we should make a few changes.

Vadim" but I think it's too risky! Guys, we were ambushed. We have to wait."

Xavier" but we can't derail the plan, look I know this is... new. But we've gone through worse."

Titan" hmm... I agree, no point in trying to wait out the heat. If they knew we were coming then we should go ahead with the plan."

Ezra" look I'm not being biased here, but I think Vadim got a point. We should at the very least try to get more info."

Omen" boys... let's stop shall we? Now, what we're going to do is stick with the plan."

After a bit of grumbling Ezra & Vadim finally agreed to the decision made. Soon enough dinner time rolled around, after cooking we all dig in.... but, for some reason I feel like there's something coming. And it's Big... after cleaning up I decide to go on a walk, and the entire time I can't shake off that feeling, God I hope I'm wrong. Running I head back only to find that the place has been trashed, and.... everyone lying on the ground. Dropping to my knees I'm about to scream when a faint voice echoes in my mind, it's Chase. Running over to her I embrace her in my arms, opening her eyes her voice comes out barely as a whisper.

Chase" Leo... we---were ambushed... it's not safe."

don't worry Valkyrie, I promise you'll be fine so will everyone else.

taking out my phone I call the nearest A.D.O.A post around our location, after they arived with a few ambulances I slip away off to the night. Hrabry will not getaway with this, after a short drive Hrabry' Mansion stands infront of me.... and with the storm showing no signs of abating this is my best shot, slowly working my way I eliminate every guard that's close to the surrounding trees, taking a deep breath I center myself drawing out my ability, I can feel all of them. And... Hrabry!! Paralyzing all the guards it only leaves me and Hrabry, after going through his house I walk into his office, seeing him frozen with fear as he realized who just walked through those doors.

Hrabry" ngh... I... will.... ki... kill.... you."

He tries to do anything but it's no use, stepping close I push him right to his window then....

bang bang bang bang bang bang

seeing his body splattered on the ground there's something about this that's so.... familiar, and I know why---

aargh!!!

right. My ability, {cough}dammit I'm going to pass out... no I've to get out, c'mon I can do this. Groggily I make it all the way to the car, driving I manage to make it back to that A.D.O.A post, barely.... closing my eyes everything goes dark as I drop my legs giving way beneath my body, hearing a couple voices I start to lose my grip and I succumb to the darkness....

two weeks later

feeling my face getting brushed by the breeze of a summer day and a soft hand combing through my hair, I open my eyes to find my head resting on Chase's lap she's smiling her eyes shining from the light, they look like a sea of velvet red sheets.... looking around we're in a big field of sunflowers, and off in the distance a big tree sits alone. Brushing my hands on her skin sparks fly, and my heart starts to beat. Cupping my cheek I nuzzle to the touch, feeling a wave of warmth & love wash me this is so nice.....

Chase" mm---- Leo, it's time for you to wake up."

wait, what... Valkyrie, I'm awake.

Chase" you aren't. Now, time for you to get up."

in the present world

Chase" Azriel...{sobbing}please--- please wake up."

....... huh? Valkyrie? Where am I?

Chase" Leo... you, how could you be so stupid?!"

Chase" you heard me. How could you hurt yourself, and for what?!!"

we were on a field. A breeze of summer brushing my face and your hand combed my hair. We were surrounded by sunflowers, but you were what made it beautiful.

Chase"{Blush}... wha..... Leo---ugh... you're making it very hard to be mad at you. You know?"

I do.... Valkyrie I'm sorry, I--- just broke. Looking at all of you when I held you in my arms I though that I'd lose you.

as burning tears run down my cheeks I cover my face with my hands only to have them pulled away. Pulling me into a embrace the feeling is overwhelming but it's also freeing...

Valkyrie... I'm a monster. So, do you still want to love me? Knowing that."

Chase" of course I love you! I don't care, and you aren't a monster just because you got angry. Leo I love you. I have loved you since we first met."

kissing me I gasp as Chase's lips are on mine. I ardently kiss Valkyrie back and each kiss keeps getting more intense. With our chest so close I'm sure I can hear both our hearts beating out of our chests... after a few more kisses I pull back a couple inches just so that we can breathe......

Valkyrie, I love you.

Chase" I love you too Leo."

Ezra" Azriel! Guys he's awake."

Xavier" not much, while you were busy sleeping we were stuck on cleanup thanks to you."

Xavier" you heard her, c'mon guys."

as everyone shuffle out of the room Omen stops by the door giving a little thumbs up before slipping away, leaning back I smile as I remember the dream... feeling a kiss on my nose I open my eyes to see Chase, smiling she cups my cheek nuzzling to the touch it sends a tingly feeling all over my chest...

so, when can I get back to work?

Chase" you aren't going anywhere. Doctor's order, oh and while you were asleep Kye called saying that they're all coming to NY this week."

... okay then, so I guess that's everything.....

Chase" na ah, you owe me a dream? So what did we do..."

it's like I said, there's not much more.

Chase" hmph, seriously that's it... well, I guess that's what I'd expect."

**a few hours later**

walking around the hospital, the smell of detergent, medicine and good hospital food is everywhere... although having the whole crew by my side does make for a intimidating look, after filling our hungers, it's back to the bed ugh..... thank God I'll be free in a couple of days. After going back up to my floor I try to rest and after a long moment I do.
