CHAPTER 4 : CONFUSING

After, the university I went straight to my condo because of the chaos.

I have almost forgot that I'd to complete my model it has to be submitted with in few weeks.

it's now the time of our university first year-end. I'd got a pass of my plan from the professor already.

Before, making the model we actually need to get our plan passed through professors which definitely not easy.

I got a suggestion from my uncle time to time when I was making the plan.

Our family run an architecture firm since generation. It has been one of the best architecture firm in Thailand that's why our family is quite famous in Thailand.

Before my father and uncle used to run it together. Later, My father and mother moved to New Zealand with me to expand our business.

Which was a success because of my father hard work, But suddenly my father passed away due to cancer.

My mother and me came back to Thailand and grandfather found someone to fill my father's duty.

Later, the incident happened. Now, my uncle handle the business. This going to be passed down on me and brother (cousin).

He is in business faculty, and I'm learning architecture both these will be beneficial to the firm.

We walked into uncle and my father footsteps. Uncle studied Architecture while father studied about Business.

Both of them used to handle the firm well. We hope too, that we would do the same like them.

Knock! Knock!

I heard someone knocking. It is already late at the night around 11pm.

I knew who could come around these hours. I went to get the door for him.

It is Phi Pha. He is my brother his full name is Phassakorn Anong Lawan . He is my older brother.

{In Thailand people use their nicknames with other rather than their real names.}

He is a year older than me and a lot taller than me around 184 cm. We both have similar face feature even though he is my cousin but still we look like sibling.

It was passed down to everyone in the family having similar features. He just look like my exact male version.

Downturn eyes, High nose bridge, Pale skin. These are the common feature in our family.

"Can I come in?" He asked when I opened the door for him. He was leaning on the door frame eagerly waiting for my answer.

"Come in." I said and walked in. I left the door for him to close it and then he followed me inside my condo.

"You're working on your model?" He asked while laying on the couch.

As lazy as ever the first thing he did when he entered my room was to lay on the couch can't expect much from him.

I grabbed on the pillow on the couch and hit him with it lightly to which he grabbed that pillow from my hand and rested his head on it.

See, I can't even fight him!

I sat on the ground near the couch. Where I was working on the model.

"Yes, I have to submit this in 2 weeks. I asked Pa to help me with the project." I replied while continued working on the project.

I call my uncle Pa (Dad). I lost my family at very young age. All I have left is my uncle and Phi Pha that's why I have accepted the fact they are my only family now.

"Want me to help you." He asked me with neutral expression on his. I think he doesn't have anything to do that's why he came in here.

"Will you complete it for me then?" I turned to see his face properly and told him with sly smile.

"Oho...Miss sly continue with your work. I won't help you now." He said then He pushed my head a little towards the model. As if telling me to focus on my work.

"No! now you have to help with this." I said and pushed his hands off my head. So, damn heavy even his hand can be this heavy I don't wanna imagine how much he have might weight.

"You should have behaved nicely when I asked you first." He replied with a smart face. This arrogant one. He was arguing with me about my previous reply.

"You have to help you." I told him while giving him the puppy eyes.

I continued pleading him until he agreed to help me. If I can get him help me with this. I would happily act cute for it and bug him.

I know I'm evil but whatever?

"So bossy, Khun Risa." He told me as he got down from couch and sat and next to me agreeing to help me.

{Khun : It used as sign of respect. Mostly used in work space or in formal setting when addressing strangers. In all these situations people add Khun in other person's name.}

I happily passed him all my things. So, it will be easily accessible to him, and he would help me with the model without him complaining.

"Oh, why did you come here by the way?" I asked him when we were working on my model. I actually forgot to ask for what purpose for coming here.

"Took you long enough to ask me that!" He complained that as soon as he came to me. I'd already assign him to do my work.

"I forgot. Now tell me why are you here? " I kept my work aside for a moment asked him. I cannot multitask well, and I did not want to ruin the model otherwise it will be a headache to make it again.

"Well nothing, you're going back home tomorrow that's why I came. So, we can go home together." He said while focusing on the work which gave him to do.

That's good that he was focusing on this very diligently. This benefits me only.

I had no complaints about it.

"Okay. Are you going to sleep here tonight?" I asked him, but I knew the answer already very well.

"Obviously, why are you asking silly question? " He said and pushed my head again. This is high time now.

I glared at him then he removed his hand from my head with scared look. That it you shouldn't mess with it me in the first place.

We worked together till 4 in the morning then we decided it was time to sleep now.

I went in my room to sleep. There is convertible couch in my living room. Which Phi Pha bought for himself. He usually visit me when he is bored.

So, He got that for himself which will save him to go back and forth to his condo. In short, He just lazy get up and go to his room back.

Anyway, due to his help. I was ahead of my schedule which I planned for the assignment. This will save my time a lot. I can sleep peacefully now.

Next day,

Phi Pha woken me up in the morning, and we went back to home in his car.

I can't drive. So, whenever I want to go somewhere he has to drop me off. I don't ever think about learning to drive cause Phi Pha voluntarily drive for me.

He does sometimes whine but in the end he would be the one to drop me off.

I went to bed late that's why I was sleeping in the car the whole time. I woke up when our car reached at the gate. I saw few servant rushing at the entrance to greet us.

Well, Our home is a mansion which located in Watthana.

This house was designed according to modern aesthetics. Hence, it was concept was modern luxury.

Obviously, We have an architecture firm. We have to maintain our house according to that image.

This area is not far from my university. it takes 30 min get their but because of traffic it takes almost 45 min or an hour sometimes reach at my university.

This makes my condo become more convenient for the university.

It feels like it's been ages since I came bavk home but I remembered the last time I'd visited was last month. I don't come home much this month because I have been preparing for my semester exams.

I can't avoid visiting home more because I'm already ahead of my schedule and I guess, I could use opinion from Pa before my exams.

Before, I could get myself out the car on my own. One of the servants came and helped me with it.

I gave a slight smile out of politeness and go out the car. I walked straight towards the living room to find where Pa is.

I went to the living room but I couldn't find him.

"Khun Risa, Khun Tem is not here." Phi Khom said. He bought me a glass of water.

Phi Khom is one of the servant. who work here for us. He is one of the most trusted worker of Pa.

Phi Khom father used work for my family, but suddenly he fell sick and Phi Khom came to work with us instead.

I shook my head signaling Phi Khom. I'll rest later, but before that I want to find Pa first.

I knew where he would be if he isn't here in the living room.

I went to the backyard there pavilion constructed near the garden.

My grandparents built this pavilion because I used to enjoyed reading books in the graden.

Later, Everyone in the family started spending thier time here and it became popular place to relax.

If Pa is not in the living room then he must be spending his time there.

"Pa!" I called him when I saw him reading book at the pavilion. I went towards him and hugged him to which he hugged me back with smile on his face.

"My daughter." He said with affection while patting my head.

I sat beside him hooked my arm around his and leaned on his shoulder watching what he was reading.

"Gullible Kid." Phi Pha said. He handed his car keys to one the servants. So, they could park it for him, and then he followed me here.

He was saying this because obviously I'm an extreme introvert but not with my family though. The behavior is different both outside the family and with the family.

If someone see me how I behave with my family they won't believe I'm an extreme introvert.

Being Anti-Social doesn't mean I can't get along with my family. Just look at the amount of people I have in my family. I don't think I can be distant to them.

"Says the Dramatic one." I replied to him and mock him. I won't let him annoy me.

He acted as if he was about to hit me.

"Stop there, Don't touch hit each other." Pa said while stoping us. We fight all the time it's no end to it. Until someone stops us. He could only get his hand back and sit back.

Ever since, Both of us were left alone. Pa was the one who took care of us more than anyone could take care of their own childrens.

That's why we call him Pa because he deserves to be called Pa. He did more than any father could do for their children's.

Hence, We loved him dearly for that if we didn't do that would very ungrateful of us.

Although, Phi Pha are fighting all the time but it's just acting in real life.

Actually we are very close to each other. Phi Pha always has been overprotective of me. After, the incident. We got each other back other since then.

Many people at the time of my high school no one dared to come up to me because Phi Pha had threatened each one.

This was because many of my classmates used to make fun of me because I wasn't being able to speak Thai.

When I moved back to Thailand. in addition, I had kept quiet all the time when they mock me. This made them think I was the easy one to mess with.

Later, Phi Pha and Me both went to the same high school. He made sure no one dared to do those things again.

Even, girls were scared to come near me. Due to him no one dared to mess with me again and my anti-social self was never bothered.

I'm happy to have these kinds of people on my sides.

Pa, Phi Pha, Daisy and Patch all these people are super important in my life. Rather than these people I'm Anti Social to everyone.

"Risa, Did you have lunch yet?" Pa asked me with concern.

"I didn't, Pa we will eat together." I told him. We did have our breakfast before coming, but now it's already noon and I know Pa was waiting for us.

"Alright, Let's have it together. After that, I have you a meeting. I'll come back home early. You two can hang out with each other till then. Later, I'll come back and help you." Pa told me. I have been calling him regularly about my assignment. So, He knew I needed his help.

"Okay! Pa just need to review. The rest I'll do it myself." I said. I didn't want to get exhausted cause of me. He is already going to work, and later he have to help too with assignment. I don't want to add more trouble for him.

To which, He agreed with me. We all had our lunch together then I went to see off Pa at the gate.

Later, I went inside my room to work on the model. I bought it here with me. So, I could work on it without delaying my schedule.

Of course, I made Phi Pha help me with it. He would be laying around the house anyway that's why I gave him work to do till then.

I was working on my model. Until, Pa came back. He reviewed the structure of my model for me and gave me suggestion. I noted all what he suggested me.

Then we had our dinner together and all of us went to their own room afterwards.

I was already working the whole day on the model that's why I needed to rest now.

Rather than, I have already completed half of the model. I could rest now without worrying about it.

Knock! Knock!

I was laying on my bed trying to sleep but I couldn't that's when I heard the knocking on the door.

I was lazy to get up from the bed, but I had to because someone might slam my door down. If I don’t open it soon.

"What? Can't sleep on you own room?" I asked.

It was Phi Pha at the door with his pillow in his hand. I knew guy this will barge into my room.

So, I had already placed the mattress beside the bed so he comfortably sleep on it.

"Move aside." He said and pushed me out of his way. He placed his pillow on the mattress.

He knew I would place it for him. He has been barging into my room since way back.

Since, We were kids. He never had any siblings. So, He treated me like one. When I moved to Thailand with my family.

We have been like this always, and he is overprotective of me and that is also one of the reason why he won't sleep on his room.

"Can't Sleep?" He asked me currently he is laying on his stomach using his phone making himself comfortable like this was his own room.

" Yes." I said and went lay on my bed. I grabbed my phone to pass the time.

I don't stay home much because I have nightmare whenever I'm here, and I can still hear the voice of grandparents, My mother.

It haunts me all night that's why I avoid coming here all the time.

Phi Pha and Pa knows about my nightmares that is why Pa don't force me to stay here.

Pa would come to check on me time to time at night and also Phi Pha would refuse to stay in his room too because of it.

"What is this?" Before Phi Pha could say anything about it. I asked. I showed him my phone screen there was a disgusted expression on my face.

"Hahaha." He started laughing as soon as he saw the thing on my phone screen.

"People are too interested in your life." He said with almost tears came to his eyes.

I almost wanted to hit him because of his reaction to it.

It was post from university gossip page. Someone saw Phi Pha going in and out of my condo.

These idiots think we are dating each other. If I could kill one person then definitely I would kill the admin of the page for sure.

[The Post]

The University Star is not actually the Anti-Social like everyone assume.

They last year First runner-up for University Moon title. The business faculty former Moon has taken the heart of our University Star.

The Sources say, They saw the former business faculty Moon going in and out of the current University Star condo. He even visits her room at the night every now and then.

Some say, They even saw him dropping our anti-social star at her faculty many times. Though they keep a low profile, but secretly they stick to each other all the time.

Our University Star is not Anti-Social anymore for certain someone!

"What bullshit is this?" I yelled at the screen. I have never been this irritated with the gossip page ever like I'm right now.

"It might be because I use my mother surname at University." Phi Pha said wiping his tears which got from at all laughing.

That's right Phi Pha uses his mother's surname.

Phi Pa mother was apodtive daughter of my grandparents. Later, She married to our distant relative.

His father left thier family when his mother was pregnant and He lost his mother too while she was giving birth to him.

Pa adopt him because he never got married and He couldn't leave his nephew alone like this.

Pa gave Phi Pha his mother surname. As a remembrance that she is always with him.

Rather, We did keep a low profile at university because I didn't want him to threaten every person at the university like he did before at the school

Also, I didn't find it necessary to tell everyone about our personal family matters.

Our surname different and us keep low profile got us into this kind of rumors.

"Do we have to clear this rumors?" I asked Phi Pha for his suggestion. He knows these socializingg things better than me. He has always been the one who advice me on this kind of things.

"That won't work. The more you try to clarify it. They suspicious they will get and they might even think you are trying to hide something." He explained to me.

"And even if we explain it. They will assume I'm not your actually sibling or even close cousin. So, they won't believe you......People always like this they imagine what they want too." He added.

According to my situation, I'm currently a villain of the university who only she has good face about her with this kind of image what Phi Pha said is very accurate.

Also, I don't want to disclose things related to Phi Pha to anyone. I don't have right to share his story to anyone for my own benefits.

"So, what I should do? I'm dating not you like those weirdos think. " I replied. Just by thinking of it. I feel gross who in the right mind will date the guy.

"Do you think I like it? " Phi Pha said he flicked his finger at my head.

Damn that's hurts!

"Come with solution! And stop teasing me!" I yelled at him for his behavior.

He quickly got his act together in fear of his life. I will definitely kick this guy. If he had continued hitting me.

"You shouldn't do anything pretend that you even saw this post. I will get this post down till morning and it better to let them wondering. The plus point will be those guys who follow you around won't trouble you. By the time, When I think it's the right time I'll clear it." He said calmly.

This guy is actually very strategic minded prefect for the business studies.

Now, I know why he let me choose architecture instead business. I didn't choose business like my father did that's because I wasn't fit for the strategies.

"What about the girls they won't approach you after this." I told him knowing that's occasionally he sleeps around like how a normal guy would.

I knew it obviously I've been with him almost his whole life. I did saw some of his flings time to time.

"Don't worry even after this they will be girls coming to me." He said with sly expression.

This wicked guy he had his other plans too .

You want to how he will get more girls now.

Being in involved in rumors of university you would get more attention than usual and if it's rumor about dating a Moon or Star many people will come up to you trying to break your bonds for the attention.

This gather more attention than normally dating a Moon or Star. Being inside a triangle is more interesting for people that's why he is saying this.

He basically wanted people like Phi Gorn to stop messing around me with and advantage to that he will get more girls too.

He is truly business minded wicked guy.

So cunning!

Anyway look like we are going continue this confusion.

Cause I have any benefits too. People will not mess with me. Knowing Phi Pha savage nature and people like Phi Gorn to would stop messing.

Phi Pha and Phi Gorn both were in the same year Moon and Star Competition.

He wouldn't do mess with me because Phi Pha is one of the people in Phi Gorn social circle.

If he annoys me that mean he is trying to pick a fight with one of his friends who he sees often.
