Whenever Barett arrived at the mansion, he would find Aiden drinking a chocolate drink, which wasn't strange at all; the strange thing was the container he was drinking it from.

"What's that? That container doesn't have a label."

Aiden turned to look at the man who had just arrived.

"Your perfect replacement," Aiden replied, calmly sipping his drink.

"Replacement?" Barett examined the container, a simple powdered content that was nothing special.

"Mmm, you weren't present during the gestation, so the pain was unbearable, so it occurred to me to make a replacement for omegas in the same situation. I'm proud to say it works perfectly," explained Aiden, taking a drink.

The only pregnant omega he knew was John, who was in good health thanks to this medicine.

Barett contemplated the omega in front of him, blaming himself again for being stupid, for leaving Aiden and Isaac alone when they needed him most. It was Aiden himself who left that house and worked to improve his health and that of his son.

"I'm here now, ask me whatever you want, if you want me to do something just say it, no matter what it is... except leave."

If he asked him to leave and leave them alone, Barett wouldn't do it, he would do anything but walk away.

Aiden was amused to see the alpha's expression; a few simple words could make him lose his mind, and a small display of affection could make him a happy man.

"It's not necessary, I already have this," Aiden said, shaking his drink.

"That can't replace me, it may work well because you made it, but it could never be a replacement for me."

"Really? Why couldn't it if it's quite functional? The best thing is that it can't talk and you can take it everywhere without the need to create problems."

"You can say whatever you want, but it's not the same, presence is important, you can't get anything from that thing that I can offer you." Barett approached Aiden, resting his head on his shoulder as usual.
