Small author's note: This 'The Dark knight' part is the events that took place before episode 1. That is after the death of his 142nd life. If you are confused still it is ok. The plot is a bit complicated.
The previous chapter is about how Adonis in his 142nd lift died and the events that led up to it.
Henceforth, it is the reason Adonis is dazed in Dark Knight² because he is angry that all his efforts are in vain and the cycle of his death continues.
Sorry for causing confusions I'll try to make it more easy to understand.

Adonis is the wolf with scar on his left hand . Adonis is fresh back from the last humiliating executing on the previous life #142 so ofc he’s shaking with fear and hate. Leon noticed he has another on the right hand. He’s still clueless but can’t help himself and he’s taking Adonis out of the dungeon right? 😉 that’s what I’ve been thinking. But I also thought omg! The Dark Knight also reminds me of Kaspian! He’s always been arrogant in his speech and actions and he called the wolf little thing ,seeming fascinated by the wolf. Hmmm or could it be Orion who was supposedly raped and is feeling scared and angry and Leon will come to the rescue later 😂.This one scene is so mysterious about who is who right? But I must say Adonis is the Wolf/ Black Swan and Leon is indeed the Dark Knight. He spoke of sacrifices and curses at the beginning of the Dark Knight arc. Funny that Adonis thinks Leon is cocky and that annoyed him in the past. I actually think Leon has been very sober and quiet during life #143 which is my favorite! I like Dark and brooding, tall and handsome characters! Ooh I can’t wait for the next chapter! ❤️ Thank you author! ✍️

How exciting! This is literally how it all begins huh. Once Adonis is taken out of the cell cause Leon couldn’t help his curiosity we’ll see how things unfolded till the night of the ball right? I really really want the Dark Knight to be Leon but it’s nagging in the back of my head 😂 that it could be Kaspian! The Prince Regent cause he ‘s commanding others and he brought a dead army to the party last time 🤔 Leon hasn’t shown us much military interaction although we saw him slice Kaspian’s head off his shoulders before. The Crown Prince is at least trained to fight too. But yeah yeah 😎 this is where we hope to see how Adonis falls all over for Leon and my guess is he’s unaware thatAdonis is a Royal Duke , maybe that’s why he’ll have to marry him! And maybe he’ll think it was a trap all along! Oh the possibilities. Popcorn 🍿 to all

of course everyone is scared of death, but if you regress enough times, like Joonghyuk there with his 1864 streaks (and maybe other regressors that have regression streaks bigger than Joonghyuk), you just become numb to it since regression is just like death. so by regressing, it means you die and if the Wolf is Adonis, it would make sense that Adonis would feel a little more calm standing in front of death's door v_v
