I once loved a Rose. Red as crimson blood, bright as the sun..so Lovable

Many wanted to possess it..I was one of them. But unlike everyone else I got the Rose

But I had forgotten the thorns

Carelessly I held it in my hands knowing that it wouldn't want me

It perhaps hated being held by my filthy hands. It hated me, yet I thought my love would change it. I thought the thorns would soften and shed, the rose might blossom

How wrong I was

I held it in my hands as the thorns pierced my hands, bleeding, poisoned... I should have known the thorns weren't that simple
